Our first time seated in the lounge. Not the experience we are used to when dining here. Our service was dismal. Dining in the lounge felt like an after thought. Server would disappear, forget simple requests for lemon, refill on drinks or example. Food came out slower than usual and not as well done. Mushroom appetizer has been a standard for years, came out lacking the baked char that makes it scrumptious. Scallop risotto was lacking flavor and rice not cooked enough. It should be hard pellets. Sacchetti was overdone and tasted mushy. The rack of lamb was the only dish prepared well and tasted good. Evening was not what we have come to expect from Alicante. Did not stay for dessert.

The food was good but the price was way to costly. The service staff were confused. Various servers were bringing food to us that we did not order and I watched our meals travel around to 2 tables before we got them. We were seated in the very back of the building and the noise level was awful. We couldn't hear each other. With the carpet removed, the low ceiling and all the hard surfaces, the sound just bounced all round the room. Was looking forward to a quiet dinner together but that didn't happen. Was quite disappointed. This used to be our favorite place!

Anna was an excellent waitress!! The renovations are coming along nicely!! The view on the lake set a very peaceful evening. Now the food...it was very nice!! We had caprese salad, eggplant and tuna sashimi all prepared very nicely!! For entrees, we had the almond encrusted baked haddock (very moist and prepared well), papperdelle bolognese (the width of the pasta capured the sauce and provided a great mouth feel!!), the salmon (it was very moist along with the cheesy risotto). Our granddaughter had the prosciutto and fig flatbread for her meal and said it was excellent!! It was so good she commented she will always remember eating here (5 years old). It was an excellent evening for us all. We have allergies and all were handled very safely!!

One of my favorite restaurants is making changes to the menu that leaves me wondering. They added a Veal Milanese that leaves a lot to be desired. The veal did not have enough breading and was not cooked crisp. Served on top of too much pasta with a salad on top. It may look fancy but much better if veal is not sitting on starch. Veal Piccata/Marsala off menu now Chicken at same price Veal used to be. Almond Crusted Haddock not the old reliable Haddock Franchise style. And everything stacked for show as opposed to presented easier to eat. Lastly all the prices have increased (again).

Always a delicious experience. Short rib and lamb were both excellent. Bar is always lively with great service

Great dinner at Alicante with a water view. Our servers were attentive and added to the experience. Short ribs and lamb dish were delicious!
