The three of us had amazingly fabulous meals that were not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. The staff members are knowledgeable, warm, and professional. We love Cucina Alfabeto!

Food is great. We love the arancini. The best we have had. The pumpkin ravioli are subtle and flavorful. The pasta with Alaskan crab is delicious. We had tiramisu was plentiful and well made. It is a quiet restaurant with excellent service

Great food, and very knowledgeable server who was very professional and attentive. This is one of those local restaurants that is a true gem once you find it. We'll be returning for sure.

I have dined at Cucina Alfabeto several times and have tasted much of menu --although it changes frequently. And always the meals, whether a simple pasta dish, unusual as veal osso bucco or mussel soup, or as classic as their desserts have been tasty and beautifully presented on the plate, without being fussy. Both my 33 year old nephew and my 95 year old mother loved it, when we have taken them. Service has been friendly. And the atmosphere, while casual, has more polish than the former restaurant in the space, with tablecloths and new chairs. The wine by the glass is much improved but at the same prices. The restaurant is part of Alphabet City, so there are free jazz concerts on many Thursday nights that you can watch from your table. Or you can take a seat outside the dining area and eat before or after the concert. If you go for brunch (I have) or dinner before 6 pm (I rarely do), you can shop in Alphabet City's bookstore, which is one of the best anywhere.

Last night I tried a new menu item, the mussel soup. It was delicious --and just perfect for a cool, fall evening.

The food, service, and ambience were very good. My only issue concerns the wild mushroom risotto: not enough risotto, some of the mushrooms were tough and chewy, and far too much pepper which overwhelmed the mushroom flavor. Everything else we had was delicious: the scallops, farm salad, osso bucco, chicken ravioli, and panna cotta.

The small menu was interesting and vegetarian forward. The appetizers we selected were exquisitely prepared with super fresh ingredients. These are not plates to share although the price suggests it should serve more than one. The artichoke was a sculpture & the salmon was glowing. I wish I could have afforded to order more but had a $120 budget which allowed for 1 glass of wine and 3 appetizers. Special treat on a random Wednesday and I want more. The space is part “hotel” bar, part fancy restaurant, part stage and part book store. Really great vibe and atmosphere. Service was attentive and friendly suggestions were on point!

Repeat diners and we will return again ! The quality as well as presentation of the cuisine at Cucina Alfabeto is brilliant and feast for the eyes and taste buds ! The staff is thoughtful and attentive which completes the experience. Bravo Chef Maurizio Esposito and team .

We decided to try Alphabetto which replaced the prior excellent restaurant at this location. We were very excited for the new concept in this space, but were extremely disappointed with our dining experience! The food lacked flavor across the board, from the salad and house smoked salmon to the pasta entrees, absolutely nothing was seasoned well at all! The wine list was also quite disappointing, only presenting a few rather mediocre wines by the glass, and to top it off, our server was moody and not very attentive. Will not be returning again. We were very hopeful but sadly disappointed by our experience.
