Alexander’s, an upscale seafood restaurant and long-time Hilton Head Island favorite on the dining scene since 1977. It features seasonally-inspired cuisine, locally-caught seafood and many locally-sourced ingredients.

Our menu pays tribute to many classic lowcountry and Alexander’s favorites such as Seafood Pasta, Shrimp and Grits, and Wiener Schnitzel. Reservations are highly encouraged. Alexander’s offers dinner nightly from 5:00 PM-9:00 PM with seasonal early dining from 5:00 PM-5:45 PM.

    We went here while on our honeymoon and the service was great! The server brought us free champagne and were very kind. The food was all fantastic. Highly recommend!

    Great restaurant. Nice menu with lots of specials. Had Wiener schnitzel and it didn’t disappoint. Wife had scallops and said they were excellent. My son and his friend had steak frites and ate everything. We will definitely be back next year on vacation.

    Nice location along the river. Good specials to consider and a very good regular menu. The wine list is also great. Many choices by the glass as well as even more choices if you order a bottle. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We have been here 3 times over several years and always make it one of our stops on visits to HHI.

    Great place, prime rib delicious and scallops as well. Server was great! Will be back. Celebrated birthday !!

    Wonderful meal from apps to dessert. Oysters and fried green tomatoes were yummy. Prime rib was huge. Peanut butter pie was delicious. Spencer provided great service!

    There are many things that Alexanders can be complimented for. The ambience was great. Service (Terry) was very good. The attention from all staff members was exceptional. I rate the food as Very Good but not exceptional. The food was not quite worth the price. I was also disappointed in the price of wine by the glass. The cheapest Pinot Noir was $18. The only Malbec was $14. Two glasses of Pinot and a glass of Malbec was $50. This is inexcuseable. Many restaurants have started to overprice their wines. Other restaurants offer house brands for about $10 per glass. The wine and food prices at Alexanders will prevent me from going back. It's just not worth it.

    Started off great with a good cesar salad then waited over 45 minutes for Prime Rib which had so much salt it was inedible. There was no empathy at all it seemed. The waiter did take it off the bill when i explained it to him. Prime Rib was ordered rare on the high side was not a melt in your mouth experience, in fact it was tough and chewy. A little more empathy would have gone a long way. They did say they would remake but i said no, I didn’t want to wait another 45 min. Wife had Short Ribs that were very tasty… but 45 minutes for it after the salad… So much more happened but i will leave out.

    We enjoyed a nice relaxing meal of Oysters Alexander Prime Rib Filet Mignon Key Lime pie Wonderful view and great service.

    Excellent food. I had the famous and storied wiener schnitzel and it was delicious! Great service; lovely people; lovely views.
