Alexander's Craft Cocktails and Kitchen was named after the distillery located on the grounds from 1861-1865, which washed away in a flood (historic marker located between the restaurant & The Manor).

The newly renovated main bar is located on 1st floor, and opens onto expansive wrap-around, creekside porches. Just a few steps down from the porches is an open deck situated beneath gracious Live Oak canopies.

The warm aubergine & copper walls of the third floor lounge contrast the amazing art representation from local galleries. The stunning view of Salado Creek as well as the grounds of the neighboring estate provide the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite beverage. Patrons choose from a variety of entree selections, appetizers, and adult beverages.

Amazing experience! The old house has a very warm and inviting ambiance. The views of the creek are incredible and the patio seating was so beautiful. Food couldn't have been better and the classic cocktails were on point. You have to check out this hidden gem in Salado!!!

This was their first time serving brunch and they crushed it. Amy was our server and she was a delight. She answered all our questions and was very attentive and personable. The food was amazing! We will be back on a Sunday for brunch and listen to live Jazz. Management came by and checked on us. We were even asked if we had any feedback to offer.

We spent some "quiet time" on the outdoor porch overlooking the river on a beautiful, warm Texas evening. Appetizers and drinks were the entire meal and the food, drink and service were absolutely outstanding as usual. Overall an enchanting, quiet and totally enjoyable experience. Well worth the time and cost.

Overall excellent experience! We had a vegan in our group, the chef prepared a special meal just for her. All dishes cooked to perfection. Still one of our favorite places for great food!

We called ahead several days in advance to let the restaurant know my husband is celiac and cannot have gluten. It was a pre fixe menu so we wanted to be sure to give them plenty of time. They said they were happy to accommodate. The way they accommodated though was to just leave off whatever had gluten - they didn’t offer alternatives. Most of the meal was gluten free but the dessert was a real let down. It was valentines and the meal was not cheap. I was given a cake with a sauce. My husband received a plate of the sauce. They didn’t make any effort to offer him something else. I honestly would be embarrassed as a chef or waitress to give that to a guest. Even if they had served blue bell with the sauce of fruit - something. It would have taken minimal effort to make him feel accommodated rather than just “well here’s what we have.” Breakfast was the same. I received sausage and a muffin and they gave him no alternatives. Like just serve him som extra fruit or perhaps buy a package of gluten free bacon? This is a very nice establishment and this could have definitely been handled better.
