    Beautiful space with gorgeous art, ambiance, and food. The service was attentive, but not overwhelming or intrusive. The menu is descriptive while the actual plating was still surprising. The prices were very reasonable for the portions. I'll definitely be back!

    Hunter was absolutely fantastic. He made our first visit to Aleksander phenomenal. The food and atmosphere was great and we will definitely be visiting again.

    VERY DISAPPOINTING FROM START TO FINISH! When requested a different seating, host said we may have to RUSH our meal as the tables are pre-planned( there were plenty of 2 seat tables)! SERVER ( Sc…) one of worse experienced in years. First, he talked excessively. I could hear conversation tables away. It’s nice to be friendly but 5 minute conversations with MANY tables while I’m waiting to order or reorder cocktails is inappropriate! Argumentative when made mistake about not including vegetables when my guest requested salmon dry just with virgin olive oil . He took that to mean that he wanted nothing else and argued the point! Food for me a strong B plus. My friend, the steak tartar unusually maid and not very good. Salmon , didn’t ask temperature, and undercooked! Never asked how our appetizers were ( oysters/ and clams- they actually were good). Very poor attention to table. Not once was I asked if wanted another drink nor my friend. Had to be requested with long wait! I am sadly giving a poor review as I truly wanted to try Alexsandar! It has an Eastern European flare, which I enjoy. It does have some very good plates but having to advocate for service, argue with the server, as well as told a seating change request may result in limited dining time makes me give a “ D” grade. I dine frequently in Manhattan, Philadelphia and throughout the country/world. This was an experience I can’t imagine happening anywhere else, nor has it!

    Food was excellent. My husband and I each chose the four-course tasting menu and shared the ample portions. Tartare and scallops were delicious. Purple potato soup was bland and I would not order it again. Drinks were original and tasty. Service was attentive but not overdone.

    The meal from appetizers to entree was superb. You can’t go wrong. Our server, Hunter, took excellent care of us and expertly guided us through the menu. Definitely recommend!

    Nice upscale towhouse restaurant near Rittenhouse Square. Delicious muscles in a perfect white wine sauce and a lovely aged beef. I loved the whipped food fois gras with jam, but it’s not for everyone. A nice 10 minute walk to the Kimmel Center after helped us digest.
