Alder is grounded in the exceptional made accessible, with a menu offering original takes on timeless dishes and preparation styles. For his dishes, Chef Patrick draws inspiration from traditions and techniques long-practiced in and around the Mediterranean, applying a deft touch to thoughtfully sourced ingredients, accenting and elevating flavors found in nature. The kitchen, centered around a wood-fired grill, prepares dishes intended to delight, sustain and nourish.

Added to the 2023 Toronto Michelin Guide, Alder is a warm and protected place to be, like just the right distance from a bonfire.

My friend and I came here for our first time. The restaurant was beautiful and the ambiance lovely. A great place for any type of occasion. The staff were amazing! Our server was lovely. She was very kind and knowledgeable. The food was amazing! The Scallop crudo was phenomenal! The cream sauce was to die for (they should sell it in a bottle). The Ricotta Agnolotti was by far my favorite! So creamy and tasty. I am craving it already! The grilled short rib was so TENDER it melted in your mouth. And lastly we had a side of shishito peppers which were tempura battered and was very delicious.

WOW, Alder’s the perfect brunch spot. We brought our parents and everyone was 100% pleased. + Steak frites, perfect. + Quiche and croissants, superb. + Service = friendly and not overbearing + Vibe = chill and unpretentious + Highly recommend, with a preference for the outdoor patio.

Loved the place. Only negative was the grilled sea bream had run out . Guess it just means we have to come back

What an amazing meal with friends! Everything was delicious with interesting flavour profiles. Perfection from appetizers to mains to dessert. Attentive and helpful service from Maya. Going back tonight!
