For the menu, Chef Patrick Kriss of the award-winning and nationally acclaimed Alo Food Group draws inspiration from traditions and techniques long-practiced in and around the Mediterranean – spanning Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Tunisia and Morocco. Whether you’re flying solo with an Alder Burger and a beer, gathering friends for small plates and cocktails, or diving into a feast of prime meats and fresh seafood, we’ve got you covered.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le bois soigneusement empilé sous les escaliers d'entrée d’Alder annonce l’accent mis par le restaurant sur les saveurs cuites au feu de bois. We were a group of 6 and sampled many of the dishes on the menu. Everything was delicious. My most favourite were the beef carpaccio and the Bibb salad. The recommendations made by our server were spot on. A wonderful experience!

The food quality was exceptional - every bite was absolutely delicious. Cocktails were wonderful. The by the glass wine list is a bit limited. The dining room’s design is very chic, blending modern industrial aesthetics with warm wood and copper accents. Overall, a great dining experience.

Food was good- integrated and balanced flavours. We got the Grilled Halloumi, Lamb Croquette, Wagyu Carpaccio, Sea bream, fries and Grilled beets (very good). Service was great- Michelin worthy for sure. Accidently dropped my napkin and the server immediately picked it up and gave me a new one, water always refilled and orders came out reasonably quick. Ambience was lovely- not too loud. Has an open kitchen which is always nice and entertaining in itself.

Great atmosphere and attentive staff who were extremely welcoming. The food speaks for itself, interesting takes on familiar foods. Will dine again.

Great ambiance and servers were super attentive, never had a water glass that was not filled up and good pacing for the time dishes were brought out. Food was good!

We visited this restaurant for my husband’s birthday and we were disappointed with the food and service. Our server wasn’t very friendly which dampened the experience. I indicated in my reso that it was his birthday and requested a candle be brought out with happy birthday which was missed. I felt that we were rushed out which was odd as the restaurant wasn’t even half full. My drink was also empty for quite awhile and I wasn’t asked if I would like another drink. I don’t understand how this place is Michelin recognized. The service is far from what I would expect at Michelin recognized establishment. Would not recommend!
