Situé 40 Brattle Street, à Harvard Square, le Alden & Harlow sert des plats américains réfléchis et honnête dans un espace souterrain, moderne et confortable. Bien que les réservations soient fortement recommandés, une partie de la salle à manger et du bar est également gardée pour les clients sans réservation, dans le cas où votre demande ne peut pas être satisfaite. The food was great. Loved the options. Didn’t love our food coming out at different times. They’ve adopted the tapas bar service method but they’re not a tapas bar. So they’re using that as a crutch for their kitchen not being able to keep up. And the music for a 1:00 brunch was insanely loud. If I had wanted to hear Lady Gaga that loud I would have bought tickets for her concert.

Great tapas style menu offerings. We shared between the two of us the heirloom tomatoes, rosemary focaccia, burrata and peaches and papayas bravas. Everything was SO incredibly delicious and portions were really nicely sized. Paired it all with a couple glasses of orange wine. Service was good and staff was attentive. We sat outside and regretted not staying inside because the outside seating feels like you’re in a parking lot and people were walking by smoking while we were dining. The ambiance inside the restaurant was more our vibe so will definitely dine inside next time. If you’re in Cambridge check this place out!

An inventive menu that follows-up with delicious food. The pickled corn pancakes were amazing! We also enjoyed the steak tartar, seared bluefin crudo, the rosemary focaccia and the corn pudding. The outdoor patio was a lovely oasis to enjoy our meal and our servers were excellent.

An excellent meal. The food was exceptional. We tried about 6 dishes and every one was spectacular. Flavors were wonderful. Ambience is very nice and friendly. One of our party is gluten free and the waitress was wonderful in walking us through the menu with this in mind. All of the dishes we ordered were gluten free! We are now living in Cambridge and we will be regulars.

This was a no regrets dinner - our dishes ranged from good to memorable over all 8 dishes. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. All in all a great experience

We made a reservation a day in advance. When we arrived, we were shown to the worst table in the house, right near the door and host station. We asked for something else, and got the second worst table in the house, in that same area, near the bar. The traffic, noise, and view were all very bad. The view from one seat was into a dingy work room where staff went in and out constantly. Our server was attentive, and listened to our issues at the end of the meal. He called over the manager; however he was dismissive and didn't care one bit that we were dissatisfied. Don't count on well-in-advance reservations here to get you a decent table. But you can count on the management being rude to their customers.

Been coming here for years. Frankly the food has gotten worst- may be not enough new dishes. They used to char the broccoli - no more. The cauliflower was boiled??? And the beets - oh my- not great. Always loved and continue to love the pickles…

The food was excellent as always, and our server was lovely. Very poor service with rude staff members at the host stand who lie to get themselves out of challenging situations - do not expect requests that you confirm before arriving to be honored.
