Brunch Service and atmosphere were awesome and the drinks were all splendid for our group. We had some mixed reviews on some of the food, ranging from amazing to pretty good. Avocado toast app was the biggest miss for us. Personally too much olive oil was used, but that does not made it a bad dish necessarily! We will be back for sure! Parking is also super close by.

The chicken sandwich and fries were good, but the Caesar salad was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Practically no shaved Parmesan and the dressing was very bland. Almost tasted watered down. The music was way too loud, which made talking very difficult. Do they want to be a loud party bar or a nice restaurant. It’s hard to be both.

My mom and I are here before a concert at Musuc Hall. It was very crowded, most likely due to the FCC game, so I was glad I had made a reservation. Our server was very good, prompt taking our drink order and quick with them. We are both vegetarians and really like that their menu has multiple vegetarian/vegan/GF items available, especially since it’s not a large menu. I ordered the spicy tofu sandwich and was not disappointed. The combination of umami tofu with spicy veggies, sauce, and perfectly toasted bread was delicious. I imagine this is a vegetarian take on a spicy chicken sandwich. I recommend it even if you’re not vegetarian. The roasted carrots with a unique pesto was so much better than I expected. It wasn’t sweet, like many roasted carrots, but rather light and bright with the right mixture of spring and fall flavors. My mom had the roasted eggplant and enjoyed it. The eggplant steaks were very large. The design and ambiance of Alcove is like being inside a mixture of a conservatory and ballroom. It’s bright and light with high ceilings, original architectural details, and filled with plants. Due to the high ceilings and many hard surfaces it can become quite loud. If you are someone who is hard of hearing I would recommend going during less busy times, particularly before a large local event like a soccer match or football game.
