I dinged the food a little on my review of Alcove because a friend and I both had the cod sandwich and it was disappointing. The texture of both the batter coating and the fish were spot on but the overall flavor of the sandwich was pretty bland and blah. The tarter sauce made no improvement. However, the friend who had the fried chicken sandwich and the friend who had the smashed burger both really enjoyed theirs. Our server was very, very good.

Atmosphere is great. Food is wonderful so were drinks. Service needs work. We were seated, restaurant was almost empty for Saturday 10:45 brunch, and it was like we were forgotten. Someone came to pour water and said specifically they were not taking our order. Over 30 minutes went by. We asked for more water Nd if we could place a bar and app order. Another 20 minutes before seeing anyone. When our app and drinks arrived, and I guess we were assigned a server, service got much better.

Menu was a little confusing, but all of the sandwiches (yes, the deep fried chicken and deep fried tofu included!) can be made GF. Our server was wonderful - fortunately we caught that our sandwiches were made on regular bread vs GF and the kitchen fixed it before we ate them. Outside of that, positive experience. Oh, we were a little disappointed that it wasn’t a full bar / many of the drinks were ‘pre mixed’ and just poured, but we both found something we liked!

visited here for a friends birthday with a group of 12 people. Overall very good experience! Food is good and prices are even better. Alcove is a beautiful restaurant and I would definitely recommend for a casual dinner with friends.

Table of 9 on a busy Saturday evening. We were serviced promptly and everything was delicious. Not a complaint from anyone in the party. They make the best Manhattans.

the space was gorgeous. the service was excellent. the wine was fantastic. the food (steak frites and salmon) was unfortunately super-overcooked.

Great food, great service, great vibes. Only thing I would change was it was a bit loud in the restaurant, hard to talk.
