I’ll start by saying the hostess is lovely and very helpful, the place is awesome along with the food— been there many of time. The waiter was absolutely atrocious and rude. Did not come over once while we were eating or check in on us just kept walking by and looking at us. Another waiter who was wonderful assisted us even though it wasn’t his table. I asked for the manager at the end and I was met with a waitress who was terrified and extremely apologetic about this waiter but her reasonings of why he acted the way he did were just unacceptable. We paid our bill we did not want a free meal or drink or such and she kept insisting on “making it right” — which I cannot fault her for but if the waiter had been more trained to the job it would’ve been 5 stars.

Busy holiday weekend, so our service was a bit slow but friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and served at the proper temperature. A bit noisy, again a busy holiday weekend but were able to have conversation without shouting.

Our overall experience was okay. We ate in the lounge which was dark and cozy. The background music was pleasant and at a perfect volume. We were excited to try several of the items that were listed on their online menu. Sadly, only one was available. To be honest, we wouldn’t have gone if they had updated their menu online. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. The bruschetta was our favorite thing. The service was great except the host that seated us never smiled and didn’t seem to enjoy working there. We won’t be back.

Chef Adam out did himself as always. Amazing perfect steak and delicious spicy vegan pasta made by request! We went back and enjoyed Lilys dumplings the next night which are delicious and available at the PT farmers market. Rhonda was the best hostess! Looking forward to returning soon!

Waitress told us short staffing. Took 25 minutes to get a cocktail ordered before dinner. What staff there was seemed disorganized Food was mediocre except the filet was good. Out of a number of menu items. Overall 👎

My wife and I booked an outdoor seating reservation, but the Port Townsend weather was unseasonably cool, and our server seated us inside at a window table. Our dinner selections were just as advertised. I had the lamb bourginoin, which our server indicated is her favorite dish. My wife chose a pasta dish, which she enjoyed very much.

The service and food was great. The oysters were so clean and the best we’ve had in quite some time. We’ll definitely be back in.

Great variety in the menu. 48 years ago right after getting married I had a filet mignon that was so tender you could cut it with a fork. My husband has been in search of the perfect steak for him since then. The filet mignon at Alchemy met his quest. Perfectly cooked, and so tender. We split oysters for our appetizer. And I had capresse for my main. Heirloom tomatoes, the best mozzarella aind basil with chopped garlic, olive oil and balsamic sauce. I could have licked the plate. Service was excellent and all the staff were relaxed. I'd go here again in a heartbeat.

Tasty cocktails to start, great menu selections, and an approachable wine list. The street was fairly quiet and we enjoyed dining on the patio (early July). Looking forward to enjoying Alchemy Bistro and Wine Bar on our next visit to Port Townsend.
