Albert's Standish is a stunning restaurant and bar which also has a private dining room and 2 private event spaces. The restaurant space can accommodate dining for 200 guests and a fabulous covered and heated outside dining terrace perfect for alfresco dining.

The venue has ample car parking and provides a picturesque environment for dining. The menu includes traditional British favourites like home-made Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie as well as cuisine inspired by the family’s travels around the world.

The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturdays and Sundays are also open for breakfast.

Alberts Standish offers three unique spaces for all types of events from weddings, corporate dinners and presentations to private parties. The spaces accommodate anything between 20 and 250 guests. We offer a wide range of menus specially created by our chefs and inspired by the seasons using only the finest of ingredients. Flooded by natural daylight, all our spaces and the rooms are versatile and as equally suited to private parties and celebrations as they are to networking events, lunches and dinners. We offer a full event planning service and every event is tailor made for you. We can arrange all aspects for your event and provide all the finishing touches to make your event perfect.

Ordered two courses each during breakfast service asking for the granola to come first followed by the steak and eggs, much like a starter and main. The pot of tea came without much sugar and was like warm, followed by the steak and eggs. I questioned the order of service and he said he’d take it back. But as it was fresh we decided to just eat it there and then, the none snotty eggs we ordered were snotty. We’d barely picked up our cutlery before the granola turned up! Odd to come before we’d finished the first course, and a nightmare when the table wasn’t much bigger than a square foot. We again questioned the service and was told it’s because the kitchen was prepping for lunch . Overall a good breakfast not terrible service, just a few minor issues. They remembered my mates birthday treat, which is why we paid the ‘discretionary’ tip.

Lunch with a friend, she had the two course special and enjoyed it. I’m vegan and great they have a vegan menu. I picked the vegan chickpea and squash pie with vegan gravy

Hi Stephen, thank you for your review. We are really sorry that you were disappointed with our policy on payments being 'card payment only'. As a very busy establishment and since changing from accepting cash payments two year ago, this has meant a higher level of safety for our staff. Whilst I appreciate your frustration I do ask you to kindly understand our reasoning for this. Food was gorgeous, we had the lunchtime 2 courses. Its a beautiful place, staff so friendly and helpful. I had added to the booking, it was my daughters birthday and Jake brought her a slice cake with a candle in. So very kind, will definitely go again. Thank you for making her day x

We come here every time we come to see our wedding venue and it's fantastic every single time. Fantastic food, atmosphere, decor and everything in between we have recommended to everyone because of how good it is!

WE simply return, time and time again. We love our Sunday roast and a great atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and provide excellent service. Why would we choose anywhere else ? Today was extra special, because we have not been able to visit Alberts for a few weeks. Looking forward to Christmas specials.

Attended on a Saturday lunch time, could not fault the food however it was unbelievably busy and as such our waitress really pushed us through, felt quite rushed which is understandable but put a dampener on an otherwise first visit. Would definitely go again but try a less busy spot. Lovely place, the food was amazing and slightly expensive for regular visits.
