The food was good but some dishes came out lukewarm. I think that if they used warm plates that would help. This has been a problem on other visits too. Both the Caesar's salad and the hollandaise sauce were a bit too lemony for my tastes and one other guest felt that way too. Especially the hollandaise. We enjoyed our evening and understand the restaurant is still going through growing pains. We will be back.

Great chowder - try them all in a flight! The halibut was melt in your mouth.

This was my first time at AC&C. My first impression walking in the door was excellent as the lobby area is huge and everything inside is modern and very clean. You would never know this was the former Village Inn. We went at lunchtime. I ordered the Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad. The dressing was perfect (plenty of it and not tangy), the avocado creamy, and the lettuce fresh. The salmon was prepared well but had a few extra "fishy" bites that indicated it wasn't very fresh. My friend ordered the rockfish tacos and enjoyed them, but it came with chips and guacamole but no salsa. Odd to have tortilla chips without salsa, but our server brought him extra guac and chips, which made him happy. I would comment that the white exterior of the building makes it easy to miss in this area of Spenard. Perhaps some color would draw more attention to this new dining spot. I would like to try again at dinnertime, as there are more gluten-free options available on that menu that look delicious.

2 of the 3 Chowders in the flight were incredibly salty. Very tasty otherwise but salty. Lobster roll was tiny and you couldn’t taste the lobster at all. Rockfish tacos were amazing. Beers on tap were great. Service was good, great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Will definitely give a second chance.

Really good food and quality service. We enjoyed the chowder flight. The halibut fish and chips was a splurge but really good. Definitely worth it for a special night out.

The food was so so. Not sure it was worth the $300 I spent. The server was great. He was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. He checked on us frequently which was nice. The atmosphere isn’t very great for a romantic date. It’s super light, there’s tons of windows, and the art is bland.
