Al Molo is an award-winning Italian restaurant launched in 2015 and transformed Weymouth’s Pier Bandstand into a destination for wonderful Italian food. Co-owners Giuseppe Vannucci & Tim Newton achieved national recognition from the Italian Chamber of Commerce with the “Marchio Ospitalità Italiana“ seal of quality award and won Gold for ‘Restaurant Of The Year’ at the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards.

Building on that success, this new restaurant, their second, Al Molo Dorchester, is traditional Italian cuisine and seafood Restaurant focus to bring fresh, locally caught fish to the forefront of the menu.

Situated in one of Dorchester’s oldest buildings, Judge Jeffreys on High West Street, one of the few surviving timber-framed buildings in Dorchester.

Using fresh, locally caught fish and produce, coupled with the finest Italian ingredients, the restaurant will pride itself on quality food in a venue which provides a unique historical setting.

We have eaten at Al Molo before and have always been impressed with the food and the staff. We have two dogs and we are so happy they are welcome there which is just so lovely. The food was just superb and exceptional quality. Staff at Al Molo are excellent and vey friendly and the service is always great The whole meal (this was for our wedding anniversary) was such good quality and value for money for three courses and wine Thank you again for such a lovely evening and we shall be back soon

Excellent food, lots of seafood dishes. All very flavourful. Attentive service. Lovely historic interior. Very enjoyable evening. First time, we will be back next time we are in the area!

Fantastic food very comfortable atmosphere and loved the staff didn't pester and fuss just allowed to enjoy the food

Lovely setting in the former Judge Jeffries, friendly and efficient team with exceptional food. Will definitely be going back as the menu was extensive and varied.

I often dine solo and in some places you can feel a little uncomfortable with that. I had the exact opposite experience here where the ambience was great and staff were wonderful despite being busy. Highly recommended

Food delicious - service very attentive without being intrusive - just the right amount to if time between courses - we will go back - thoroughly recommend - we had the set lunch menu - plenty of choice - sensible sized portions - a must try if you are in Dorchester

Excellent range of options on the menus, waiters/waitress very helpful and polite, giving ample time to select and advise. Presented beautifully, texture, taste, quantity and quality were exquisite. Time between courses just right to reflect and settle. Highly recommended and will not hesitate to return in the future. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, many thanks
