Al Molo is an award-winning Italian restaurant launched in 2015 and transformed Weymouth’s Pier Bandstand into a destination for wonderful Italian food. Co-owners Giuseppe Vannucci & Tim Newton achieved national recognition from the Italian Chamber of Commerce with the “Marchio Ospitalità Italiana“ seal of quality award and won Gold for ‘Restaurant Of The Year’ at the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards.

Building on that success, this new restaurant, their second, Al Molo Dorchester, is traditional Italian cuisine and seafood Restaurant focus to bring fresh, locally caught fish to the forefront of the menu.

Situated in one of Dorchester’s oldest buildings, Judge Jeffreys on High West Street, one of the few surviving timber-framed buildings in Dorchester.

Using fresh, locally caught fish and produce, coupled with the finest Italian ingredients, the restaurant will pride itself on quality food in a venue which provides a unique historical setting.

Fabulous historical venue, food and staff. Al Molo never fails to deliver a fantastic dining experience. We sampled their new lunch menu on this visit and absolutely loved everything our party of 4 ordered. Customers are even made more welcome if you’re accompanied by a four legged friend. Happy days

By far the best restaurant for many miles around, cannot fault it in any way. A1 front of house, food and value.

Great experience. Beautiful surroundings. The food was delicious and so nice to get quality seafood.Good choice of excellent wines. Staff were helpful and unobtrusive. We will be back.

Birthday treat fabulous meal excellent menu and value. Beautiful setting in historic building and really friendly and helpful serving staff would thoroughly recommend and will return thank you for making my birthday

Service was excellent. Meal was good apart from the side of garlic beans which were almost raw, they could not be called al dente! We’ve had them on previous visits and they’ve never been that hard. Tiramisu is my favourite and is always excellent. The lunch set menu is value for money. Next time would ask for a quieter table as we were next to a couple with a young child who occasionally screamed. Couldn’t be described as a relaxing lunch experience. However, we will return.
