We enjoyed our dinner. The food was interesting and beautifully presented. Our server was very nice and helpful, but the pacing of the meal was not great. Plattters came out in a haphazard way. It also was rather noisy. But I would definitely recommend the restaurant. I believe you will really enjoy the food.

For drinks we had the Easy A and the mad dash. They were very good! For our entrees my wife ordered the duck and I ordered the Steak. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!

What a wonderful addition to Foggy Bottom! Food and service were excellent. We particularly liked the oyster mushrooms, smoked duck, and the delicata squash with felafel.

I've been to a kitchen + bar twice now and on my second visit the restaurant's manager and waiter both remembered my name and thanked me for returning. The portions are generous and delicious and the cocktails were terrific. So glad to have this cool spot in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood.

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the staff we felt this was going to be a good experience. And it got better and better. Our waiter was warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The drinks and food were just like he described them. We shared all 4 dishes,everything was delicious and can’t wait to go back. In addition we could actually hear each other.

The restaurant has been totally redone, it in no way resembles its predecessor. It is very pretty. Even the bathrooms are fun and interesting. The only negative is the chairs and benches are very hard and need pillows. The food is innovative and would have received a much higher rating if they had VERY significantly toned down the salt. The clams & spaghetti were so salty they were almost inedible. We had the oyster mushrooms, chick peas and cauliflower - they too were over salted. Once I'm assured the salt has been reduced I'd return.

The service at this restaurant was beyond professional. From the moment we entered until we walked out the door. Serious kudos to the front of the house. Yet, not to be overshadowed by the food! Absolutely delicious. We opted for a vegetarian experience and were delighted with the availability and preparation. It was a great date night and my girlfriend was seriously impressed.

Excellent service, food was very good and leans more towards seafood with nice vegetable accompaniments. Management is very focused on service details, I was impressed.

This was my first visit to the newly opened a.kitchen DC. The cuisine, service and hospitality were all outstanding. The ingredients were all high quality and balanced flavors came through with each dish. I loved the seared Ahi and oyster mushroom starters. The Bavette steak and duck were tender and accompanied by delicious sauces. The wine list is well curated, featuring low intervention small producers which really complement the food. The staff acknowledged my friend’s birthday and made it a special and memorable evening. I can’t wait to return again!
