Chef Akira Back opens his first Canadian namesake restaurant in Toronto’s Bisha Hotel. Drawing on inspiration from his Korean heritage and travels around the globe, chef Back has created a menu that blends modern Japanese cuisine with authentic Korean flavours. In addition to his signature dishes, Back has created new items unique for the Toronto location.     My first time eating at Akira Black did not disappoint! Highlights of the night were the Seared Scallops, Wagyu Tacos, and the Brother From Another Mother Roll. Our server, Ashley, was a perfect host. She helped make our meal perfect with great cocktails and food recommendations. I will definitely be coming back for the great food and service.

    The host was very warm and welcoming. The server was friendly and polite. Food was excellent especially the toro with caviar on top and the wagyu fried rice. I will go back and recommend to friends.

    Amazing dining experience at Akira Back! Warm reception, excellent service and nice decor. But the biggest draw was the food, especially the tuna and mushroom pizza!! Absolutely highly recommended!!!

    It was my friend’s birthday the staff were really polite and they got a free celebratory app. They made sure to cater to our allergies even an informed us about contamination in shareables.

    The mystery box is beautiful with distinctive tastes of each dishes, we ordered steak and did not disappoint. It just on the noisy side so if you are looking for a cozy kind of places then this is not for you.
