The food is mediocre and the wine list sparse. We were seated at a high table, which was tiny and difficult to navigate the dishes to share, which is part and parcel of the menu. The server was attentive, but did not bus the tables adequately so that there was adequate room for our food. In short, expensive and not worth the price of admission. All that said, they did a nice job with decor, converting Maxwell’s.

Had the best time. We have been twice and can’t get enough. Our server Alicia (name?) was the best and so fun. Kept the drinks flowing and gave us A+ food recs. We can’t wait to go back.

Second time in 3 weeks and it did not disappoint. The service from when you walk in to, the food 5 stars all around. I highly recommend this place to every one. A little pricey but worth it.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with friendly and welcoming staff. From the front door to our servers, such a sincerely personable and caring staff. Then the food! Wow! We loved the amazing Kale Salad, Sushi and special Sea Bass entree. Delicious food!! Thank you Aker!! We will be back!

Underwhelmed by the Omakase experience. We were seated 20 mins after our reservation time and didn’t receive any food for another 20 mins after being seated. The sushi bar is poorly designed and doesn’t allow for diner to see anything other than fish in the on-counter fridge and the chefs’ heads. Chefs were engaging at times, but restaurant was so loud that it was difficult to hear. The timing between plates felt very off - long waits between some courses and then back to back with others. All of the food was very good, and there were several stand out plates (in particular the “main” course with fish and sweet potato). Dessert was tasty but seemed completely out of place with the rest of the experience (we were not offered a choice but received a typical chocolate lava cake with ice cream). Overall, we enjoyed the food but thought it fell flat (and was very overpriced) as an Omakase experience. We might return to Aker but will certainly dine in the main room from the menu.

We sat for 15 minutes until someone came to welcome us. There are 4 side options, 2 of which are potatoes. Maybe a veggie would be a good option? It’s really dark towards the back by the bathroom and menus were hard to see. The dark drink menu could not even be seen. The filet was perfectly cooked and great. Overall it wouldn’t be somewhere I would choose to go but had to try it.
