L'établissement AKASHA est un restaurant/bar/café proposant une cuisine américaine nouvelle avec de la nourriture réconfortante aux grandes saveurs et aux ingrédients durables, aussi bien pour les carnivores que pour les herbivores. La chef traiteur Akasha Richmond apporte sa vision culinaire dans son propre restaurant de quartier occupant le bâtiment d'époque Hull dans le centre-ville de Culver City. En gardant les principes de la durabilité à l'esprit, les arches en acier, bois, béton et brique d'origine du bâtiment ont été restaurées, tandis que les matériaux pour la décoration s'allient avec la modernité des années 1970 pour exsuder une atmosphère accueillante et animée. La boulangerie artisanale présente des choix aussi bien sucrés que salés, ainsi que du café issu du commerce direct torréfié localement. Le bar, qui compte 20 sièges, met l'accent sur des cocktails à jus frais, ainsi que sur des spiritueux biologiques et de qualité, les bières et le vin. Tout le menu est disponible sur place ou à emporter.

The Rosh Hashanah dinner was actually better than many home prepared holiday dinners! Everything was delicious and they graciously allowed us to bring in our own celebratory cake and they cut and served it. Much appreciated!

Always a great meal, lovely surroundings, tasty and tasteful. Wednesday nights half off wine by the bottle is very appreciated and always a great happy hour. I'm never disappointed and will come back again.

We met another couple on a Sat night at 7 and everything was comfy and warm and tasty. Sat indoors. We've been many times before and always reliably good and great staff. For apps we ordered to share the Sev Puri Chaat (Teff chips w guac) yum - teff is an ethiopian gluten free grain w mild flavor. And good ole Turkey meatballs, a white wine, lager and iced teas. For entrees my hub and other guy both ordered the Wagyu Beef Burgers, one w sweet potato fries and other w onion rings, and polished them off, I got the Spiked Turkey Burger on GF roll w onion rings-crispy as I like the. I had a bit of a repeat on the meatballs but still great and took half home where hub devoured day after. Our other friend ordered the Gazpacho and Fries and we shared a brussel sprouts which are good. Dessert ordered the chocolate and something else both tasty. We talked so long we were last there and everyone super kind anyway w water and tea refills.
