Service is good. Wines recommended (by the glass) were great. The food was just not at the expected level. Beautiful beets overwhelmed by plain greek yogurt - needed less yogurt and some kind of elevation, perhaps a balsamic reduction? The steaks were cooked perfectly but peas were blah and again the dish was lacking a sauce or some way to elevate the flavors. No figs or mushroom jus on the plate, as advertised, so maybe this was a miss in the kitchen. Dessert was enjoyable.

Food was good but pricey. Staff was friendly, professional, and courteous. But food took longer than it should have. Restaurant was really busy and noisy. Decor and ambiance are pleasant. Overall, a nice night out but expensive.

Citizen Rail was way better. Valentines menu was not balanced properly and lacked flavor

I had messed up the reservation and Erin made it possible for us to still get in. Presentation, food and service were top notch!

Had a great experience @ Ajax the good and service were both amazing. Definitely a must visit whenever in Denver.

A great place for a nice, sit down lunch. There's a real lack of nice places that aren't too expensive downtown. We both ordered the steak frites and they were magnificent. Service was great, N/A negronis were top tier, we'll definitely return.

Our dining experience last night was not the best. We were looking forward to trying out Ajax. For a starter we got the sourdough bread but it was very oily and we were not able to finish all of it. We then waited over an hour to get our main course. We arrived at 7 pm and by 8 pm we asked if we could just get our food to go because we had an event to go to. By 820 they brought our order to go. When we tried to eat some of the food we ordered the duck and the potatoes that came with it were not cooked it tasted like raw potatoes. The acorn squash was charred and not completely cooked. The quality of food and service was not worth the price. After my event when I got home I decided to make myself a sandwich over eating the food. I understand things sometimes don’t go as planned. But that was extremely underwhelming.
