Ah'pizz is a pizza restaurant offering authentic Neapolitan pizza. Many people know a Neapolitan-style pizza when they see one, but don't know what gives its distinctive look and taste. Ah'pizz is more than happy to educate its guests, ensuring diners know exactly why this pizza tastes so good. First, Ah'pizz' red sauce is made with San Marzano tomatoes that have been harvested from the volcanic plains surrounding Mt. Vesuvius. The flour used to make the dough is finely ground imported Italian flour and everything is cooked in an extremely hot wood burning stone oven for no more than ninety seconds.Ah'Pizz menu contains all kinds of classic Italian recipes. There is the traditional marinara made without cheese, the margherita, the salsiccia made with crumbled Italian sausage and the house specialty Uovo made with crisp prosciutto, imported burrata cheese and a roasted egg over a white sauce.

Our neapolitan-style pizza cooks fast! Our neapolitan pizza is made with dough using only extra-fine italian wheat flour, natural neapolitan yeast, sea salt and water. It is baked for less than 90 seconds in a 900°f stone oven with an oak-wood fire. This results in a crust that is crispy on the outside (with a bit of char) and softer as it nears the middle. Thanks to prior reviews, we had dinner here prior to a concert at The Wellmont, which is a very short walk away, and was the perfect choice. We arrived at 5:30 and were sat promptly. I loved the tablet menu! The server was friendly and brought water quickly. Unfortunately, no glasses of wine, only bottles, so I stuck with water and my bf had iced tea (not fresh brewed for the iced tea connoisseur's). We ordered the Gigi salad, the Gnocci, a half house salad (which was not on the menu but they made special for my bf) and a side of focaccia. We did not have to wait long for the food to come out, and it all was delicious! Great find and would definitely return if we visit Montclair again.

Ordered the Gigi salad and artichoke and olive white pie. The Gigi salad was really fresh—not over dressed and they did not hold back on the fruit. It was yummy. And the service was so friendly and attentive. Will be back!
