Agua Viva is one of the flagship restaurants in Chef José Andrés’s collection at Conrad Los Angeles. At this chic rooftop restaurant, Chef Andrés effortlessly weaves vibrant Asian flavors with Latin American influences, all while paying homage to his home country of Spain.

Our menu features diverse global flavors that reflect the true melting pot of LA. Designed to be shared, our dishes are as eye-catching as they are vibrant, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. As you decompress in our breezy dining room, enjoy sparkling platters of oysters; a bright, refreshing Young Coconut Ceviche studded with avocado and mango; Chef Andrés’s iconic Txule Burger, made with dry-aged ribeye; and whole fried sea bream, with fresh herbs and mojo verde.

Located within Conrad Los Angeles, a part of the stunning Frank Gehry-designed The Grand LA, Agua Viva features a promenade, bar area, and upper and lower dining rooms with terrace views of the mountains.

Food is phenomenal - the burger bun was slightly over toasted, but it’s not a perfect science; the meat and topping were divine. Drinks were perfectly poured and servers were attentive and interactive. My only gripe was the noise from a concert next door (which the venue can’t do anything about) so all in all, what the restaurant can control was a 10/10!

We had a lovely sunset dinner. Shared the best gazpacho ever. Next time we will each get hour own. Tried summer salad that had lots of goodies to stir in and a light summer dressing, lobster roll with light as air toasted brioche bun and buttery lobster w little bits of crunchy celery. Agreed to share profiterole dessert that was lighter than we expected and that’s a good thing. Service was lovely from start to finish. A very hot day so we were worried, but 630 reservations worked well w 7 pm sunset.

Agua Viva is my go-to whenever I’ve folks visiting from out-of-town. You can’t beat the ambience, with a commanding view of DTLA! And the food is always fabulous: Gazpacho (a 10!); the burger (a 10!); sushi do-it-yourself handrolls (a 10!) Great cocktails in a gorgeous setting! What’s not to like 😁?

Loved it - indoor, outdoor, trendy, fun tapas food to share with my guests. Not too loud so we could talk.. great mix of tourists, business people and downtown mover/shakers.

We live in the neighborhood and Agua Viva is our go-to for every occasion! You can’t beat the setting, as the sun sets over LA. The hamburgers are incredible! The handrolls amazing. And the gazpacho is to die for! Yes, it’s pricey. But, location, location, location!

Fabulous outdoor (with covering) restaurant in the finest hotel, The Conrad, in downtown LA. Food selection is tremendous, wine & cocktail menu second to none, service is excellent - especially David from Portugal/France. If the evening is too cool, they offer blankets. We enjoyed the experience with great views of the City so much that we went back the next day for lunch.
