The Brasserie has become synonymous with the North End of Halifax, the region’s most vibrant food destination, serving locally sourced product in an iconic neighborhood.

French inspired food in a stylish and vibrant atmosphere, the Brasserie (est. 2013) focuses on sustainable seafood & ambitious sophisticated cooking where all breads, jams, sauces and desserts are made in house.

Sit on the butcher block bar and enjoy a glass of wine after work, a bar snack, or a full menu during dinner hours. The exposed brick lounge offers a cozy nook for quiet conversation. Further inside the Brasserie is an open kitchen where one can sit at the counter and enjoy the inner workings of the Brasserie culinary operation. Our lively upstairs patio seats 50 and is open during the sunny summer months for cocktails & cuisine.

We welcome you for Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30- 2:30 with a snack menu between 2:30-4pm and we are open 7 days a week, 4pm to close.

Agricola Street Brasserie can accommodate up to 25 guests for private dining in the mezzanine overlooking the open kitchen. Perfect for a private dinner party, a christmas event or a dinner lecture, it’s tucked away enough to be private but open enough to still feel a part of the dining activity. For larger events we are able to reserve the entire dining room, mezzanine and patio!

Delightful dinner out catching up with old friends. Our server was perfect, the food was great and the portions were generous. The ambiance was warm and cozy.

Delightful dinner at the bar. Cod croquettes and beef cheeks were the highlights. Service was great, fairly priced and overall outstanding.

Steak frite was more fries than steak. The mushroom, onion and au jus was COLD. The trout was less than memorable. The octopus was okay. The food was not worth the price. Live band would be okay if they played a lot of decibels less. On the positive side, our server Anneika was excellent. Not going back.

The waitress was absolutely fantastic. My son was playing up and she was so understanding.,plus her service skills were amazing she is the best waitress I’ve ever had, and I have been around the world.,

I ordered the Seafood Pappardelle. There was little seafood, the pasta was minimal and chewy and the dish was only warm, not piping hot. The tomato sauce was not tasty. Overall I was very disappointed in my choice of meals. We had plates and knives for bread, but were not offered or provided bread. Again, this was disappointing.

The ambiance and food quality is high-end, but the $20ish seafood plates are filling enough to be a full meal. This place is both a great date spot and a great value.

Just really perfect. Each of our dishes were cooked to perfection and service was top level. A jazz band played on a Thursday night which was a bonus.

Our server was lovely and very cognizant of menu items that weren’t pregnancy friendly. I never would have asked about the butter, but it has unpasteurized honey in it. Thanks to our wonderful server for making our anniversary perfect. 🩷

Was there on a date night and had Ethan as our server and he was awesome! Came to check on us at approximate times and we didn’t feel rushed in the least. Answered all of our questions and was very helpful when we had questions about wine or food as we were making selections. Ambiance was spot on and exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back.
