Here at the Hythe Imperial we like to honour this tradition by offering over 10 selections of tea, finely cut sandwiches, delicate pastries and freshly baked scones with clotted cream.

firstly a great location. service was fantastic and Chloe was a wonderful waitress to us. Food was very good and the scones need a special mention. Thanks to all the staff that made it a great day

We were a little sceptical at first because we had read a few bad reviews. But this was completely unfounded. Everything was perfect. From the friendly staff to the delicious food. Simply fantastic!

The afternoon tea was incredibly yummy. All the sandwiches and the scones were fresh but sadly the cakes really let it down. The banana bread was dry as was the shortbread and blondie. For some reason every time I make a booking even if I don't state it I'm labelled with a Strawberry allergy. No idea why as I don't have one. I booked a family gathering about 5 years ago and my Auntie came and she does have an allergy to Strawberries but every time i ask for it to be removed it just keeps being re added.

We were given a gift voucher for afternoon tea at The Hythe Imperial. The room is a bit soulless and the waitress put music on which was a bit intrusive. Service at first was good but then our waitress just disappeared. Our finger sandwiches were already a little dry on serving, the scones were o.k. but the miniature cakes were not nice at all. Strange taste and texture. Nice to have bottomless coffee/tea if there was a waitress. I ordered a glass of wine which was lovely but at over £11 a glass it should have been. So all in all disappointing.

Lovely afternoon tea with limitless tea/coffee/water. Adequate sandwiches, scones, miniature cakes to fill you up. Great service, not too intrusive but still around if you needed anything.

Such a lovely place to have an Afternoon Tea and everything was spot on from the venue, the food and the staff. The waiting staff couldn't have been more attentive especially making sure the 2 young children with us who had pre-ordered childrens meals from the bar had their food delivered in order to eat at the same time as our tea. They even blew some balloons up that I hadn't had time to do and they made sure they were scattered on the table for when we walked in.
