A longstanding tradition at Hotel Vancouver, Notch8 is delighted to welcome guests for Afternoon Tea service from Wednesday through Sunday!

If your tiny tot is joining, we offer a Children's Tea featuring kid-friendly finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. Afternoon Tea is served from Wednesday through Sunday only.

We are pleased to offer options catering to guests with specific dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, as well as dietary preferences including vegetarian diets. Please notify us at time of booking and we will be delighted to facilitate.

There is a 90 minute time limit for each reservation, if you have any questions or concerns prior to your visit please let us know.

Celebrate the changing seasons and the rustic beauty of fall. The tea room décor features a warm, inviting ambiance that captures all senses. Enjoy an array of sweet and savoury delights inspired by the most celebrated ingredients of the season. Wines and creative cocktails are available as optional add-ons to the experience. Seatings at 11am, 1pm, 3pm - 90-minute seating. $72 per adult, $40 per child aged 12 and under - price not inclusive of taxes and gratuities. Cancellation policy & reservation changes: kindly email HVC.Notch8@Fairmont.com a minimum of 72 hours prior to reservation to avoid a cancellation fee of $25 per person.

The food was really below par. The scones weren’t scones - they were more like biscuits. The balance of the food was marginal at best. The service and atmosphere and tea were all good. Honestly, for the price, the food should be better.

Lovely setting. Nice touch for tea service to have wooden stands. Food was fairly good. Missed jam ( marmalade only) Desserts were weakest part of tea. Cheesecake overly sweet, blueberry tart had no flavor at all. Maple square was wonderful as was macaron. Quiet, so great for conversation.

Afternoon tea at the Hotel Vancouver is a very special event. I took a friend for her birthday celebration and we both enjoyed it very much. The service was polite, and professional and the food delicious. Just a caution for those who may need an accessible venue: there are several stairs to negotiate although the railings on either side are sturdy.

I always enjoy any time spent at the Fairmont! This time we went for High Tea with my daughters and my granddaughter. The staff was so wonderful, and so accommodating, The food was wonderful, and I can't wait to go again!

90 min was very rushed for afternoon tea. It felt like they were always thinking about how they had another reservation after us. I asked to smell the tea in advance and was told they don't have enough time to allow it. Then at the 80 min mark they came with boxes advising there was only about 5 min left and we needed to pay and leave. This didn't feel like the typical classy Fairmont experience, rather they tried to get as many tables jammed in the day. Food was ok, presentation was great. Tea was also good quality.

I brought two friends with me and we celebrated one of their birthdays, it was an amazing experience! It was my two friends first experience with Fairmont high tea. Everything was beautiful and delicious! I missed the Fairmont blend tea I had many years ago at high tea in Victoria, BC, but the new blends of tea were also delicious! The bonus dessert was loved by us all! Thank you so much!

It was a very nice theme afternoon tea event. The foods were gorgeous and the display Into the Forest of Emily Carr was amazing. Good expereince.
