The view was fantastic. I had a seat right by the window. It was also right near the live music which was very good but relatively loud. The food was spectacular, especially loved the "wow-factor" on the sweets. Only negative was that my scones took quite a while to come out. Otherwise service was very friendly and attentive. It's pretty pricy as afternoon tea goes but for the quality, view, and ambience good for a treat.

Had to dust off crumbs prior to sitting down table and seating need to be cleaned or swiped prior to new customer. Food was delicious and tea most enjoyable.

We visited for my mum's birthday celebrations but were not blown away by the quality in comparison to other afternoon teas we've experienced in London. Views were mainly over London Bridge train station so not the best. Food was a nice quality bar the Shard tower which tasted overwhelmingly of goats cheese and wasn't easy to share - we saw this going uneaten on lots of other tables. The teas themselves were lovely and our server was great when we got her attention but felt there were long periods where nobody came to our table. After the initial welcome tea, we waited a long time for the teas to be ordered and served and plates were not cleared away in a timely manner. A nice experience but wouldn't return.

This is subjective to my personal view and experience in comparison to other afternoon teas in London as well as my knowledge and experience in customer service and the hospitality & catering sector. It took me time to decide where to have a new and a different experience Afternoon Tea for my annual one with my mother so I decided to go to the Shard for the views and the extraordinary expectations. My mum has been satisfied and at the end it is most important. For me the views and the food matters, especially for the price paid. My economy isn’t as strong as other customers so I wished the extra-mile was there. So far the menu is well designed and unlimited hot drinks are included. The sandwiches were very nice but the egg one should be without the truffle so you can enjoy better the egg flavour. The truffle with meat is better. The waiters are well dedicated by their nature. We loved Jenny, she was very courteous. I personally was saddened by the fact of requesting a table by the window to see the river and the iconic buildings and/or monuments but the hosts are serving on the basis of first come, first served which I understand due logistics and practicability however high bills are paid. I went to take some pictures around and I noticed that those areas by the windows were nicer in comparison to where I sat with my mum. I felt upset that there could have been a suggestion of waiting a bit longer until other customers by the window leave. The discretionary service charge was unexpected but perhaps I didn’t read it. It would have been greater to get the Virgin Experience voucher. So overall I found it overpriced at the end of what i expected to pay at the beginning. I requested to pack the leftovers, as we were full, for my brother and my nieces to taste when I get back home but the way it was done was like Mcdonald’s.. not matching the name of the place and location. It was quite smashed.. so it also upset me. Anyway, this is simply a constructive feedback.

Nothing terrible just compared to rivals at this price point very low quality good, which at the end of the day is what you are paying for when going for an afternoon tea. Service was slow, tea poored after nearly finished sandwiches. Plain white bread that was cold and a little stale. Sweets were ok moose fare. Scones were cold.

We really enjoyed our experience. The tea and were were delicious and the view was amazing! Staff were friendly!

Great view, lovely service, the sweet treats were unique and delicious but the savory items were bland and not enjoyable and the scones were dense not fluffy. Overall, for 90gbp per person this was the least favourite afternoon tea in London I’ve ever had!
