Food was good but service wasn’t great felt like we were forgotten a bit and had to wait for tea refill and sandwiches and cake all bought out at once and one of us was vegetarian and when we asked for second round of sandwiches meat and vegetarian sandwiches bought out all on one plate.

It was a very great Teatime at Ting. Only the service wasn‘t so good. Our Order needs long time or was not delivered. There was no explanation about the food.

Very disappointing experience, it took the service team 15mins to come and take my order. Had to ask 3/4 times about the tea. No one was bothered or there is a willingness to offer an experience worth Shangrilla.

The venue is elegant, and the service at Ting, Shangri-La was very good at the beginning when they seated us and were explaining how their service would work. After that, it became a little difficult to get someone's attention as they were busy. It was very elegant, and we were lucky enough to get a window table, which not everyone does. I would have scored this higher, except for the afternoon tea itself. It was very, very expensive at 78GBP per person for what we received. Each of us had 5 finger savories that together might make up one half-decent sandwich, plus a few small cakes, which were mostly mousse-filled, light-weight and sugary. The centerpiece was a chocolate 'model' of the Shard, filled with mousse. If you want champagne or another adult beverage the charge is higher. My benchmark for afternoon tea is in Harrogate, which was truly a meal of savories, and treats, for a lot less money. I would recommend doing The View from the Shard (the official Shard viewing platforms), at which you get a glass of bubbly and can take all the time you want to tour the entire 360 degree view, and get afternoon tea somewhere else.

Breath taking and magical experience. The service was second to none and making our anniversary outstanding.

Helga our server was so lovely and welcoming. She ensure all of our needs were met. She was very informative with the different options of tea we could have.

We were so excited to have Afternoon Tea at the Shard and so disappointed by the food. The view is amazing and the staff was very nice. The food, however, was totally disappointing. Our sandwiches were all bread with almost nothing in between. What little was there was tasteless. The desserts were beautiful but bland. We were looking forward to the scones which were doughy and not warm. The clotted cream tasted more like butter than cream and the jam was a paste instead of jam. Worst of all was the chocolate shard. The presentation was fantastic, pouring water over dry ice to make it look like fog. But it was all show and no substance as the shard was a bland white chocolate mousse. Very disappointing, and VERY expensive. Better to have tea somewhere else.

honestly, quite pricey - we chose tea selection option, but managed to try only two tea selections in 2h, and there was very little advice from the waiter or tea somelier. Food and sweets were quite good, views are amazing. Could recommend as an experience, but do not expect too much.
