Despite booking a while back we were given a terrible table with a wooden panel blocking any view. We asked to move and after a time were moved to a much better table. We waited ages for any service. The man pouring the tea had no clue and spilled hot tea very close to my husband. In general service was shoddy, Food was ok but not amazing. The chocolate shard dessert had literally no taste, The whole event was lacking in polish and finesse, The live music was very nice. Obviously view made up for a lot of the shortcomings but it’s not a tea that I would repeat.

Delicious sandwiches but odd fillings in the savoury buns…beetroot hummus in one, mushy peas in the other. Patisserie choices were beautifully presented. Good selection of teas and champagnes. Really lovely staff, attentive but not intrusive. Fabulous views even on a rainy day. There is lots of competition in London for afternoon tea and Ting’s version is charming but expensive in comparison to every other high end option.

This restaurant is in The Shard, the lift went up 35 floors in seconds, the restaurant is impressive, very clean, great photo opportunities, our waiter was called Freddy, attention to detail was delivered from being seated to changing plates, well recommended, great views, great service, costs a little more but overall what a relaxing and fantastic experience

This was a lovely experience and definitely worth the money. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be back!

My first Afternoon Tea, the Vegan Menu. Swaps are possible if you dislike any of the components. Unlimited tasty tea with many options. Sandwiches were amazing. Scones were very very sugary and some were in the oven too long (hard). Carrot cake was a heavy, spiced cake. Petit fours and the Shard cake were great. Staff was friendly but seemed stressed/in a hurry. Environment was pretty but quite loud (music, guests, kitchen). Overall nice experience. Do not underestimate how much food it actually is.
