Made to feel welcome as you walked in taken to your table which was beautifully set out and the afternoon tea was amazing

When the first cake stand arrived I thought, not many sandwiches but soon realised when 3 others came that it was just for me!!! Delicious and was able to take home what couldn’t be eaten there and then!!! 😋

Booked afternoon tea to celebrate a 40th birthday family. We were the only ones in restaurant (4). Whilst beautifully decorated there was no atmosphere at all & we felt a bit uncomfortable. It looked like there would be no one else in either as all other tables were set up ready for breakfast service the next day. Service was attentive. We were given the wrong menus when seated & therefore the food that arrived was not what we were expecting. Quite disappointing actually. Very heavy on the sweet stuff & only sandwiches as savoury option. Apparently menu changed a while ago but menu was still displayed & on website. 🤔 Sandwiches were tasty and plain scones were nice but the fruit scones were a little dry/overcooked. Overall not as an enjoyable visit as had hoped. Left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Everyone in our group enjoyed the afternoon tea we had one guest that is gluten and she was catered for too so all in all very good

Mum and I had a lovely time when we had our afternoon tea. Tge service was amazing, waitress was very attentive. The food was lovely and plenty of tea to drink. We had to wait a little while when we arrived, but were given a glass of prosecco, while we waited. We had a choice of where we sat, so chose to sit at a table overlooking the river, where we saw some boats going up and down. It was a lovely experience and free as it was a voucher that I'd received.

The service was excellent and the food delicious and plentiful. We were alone in the room, so very special. I was surprised that it was not on a patio outside. More could have been done to make the surroundings garden-like and a tablecloth would have been appreciated with pretty serviettes.

I booked this as a treat for my mother and sisters on our Christmas visit in October! Arrived and was told that due to events (it was empty) they could not accommodate us. Whilst the supervisor Sonia was clearly mortified, it was very embarrassing for me as I had book it as their Christmas treat. Safe to say I would not recommend unless you want to be highly disappointed

Booked a reservation for high tea. Arrived for my reservation and was told they never saw it and so didn’t order the food for high tea. So I got turned away and they didn’t even offer something else at their restaurant. Obviously it was to late to book anywhere else in the city the day of. No costumer service at all. Book somewhere else if you want to have high tea and avoid disappointment.

We had an incredible time. The staff were lovely and so attentive and the food was amazing (there was clotted cream for the cream tea). I think it was brilliant value for great food, service and ambiance. Will definitely be going again.
