Very disappointed in our afternoon tea. We were really looking forward to it to celebrate our anniversary. We were given one small pot of tea that was so weak it looked like dishwater. It made two cups of tea. No traditional scones. There was a choice of lemon scone or blueberry scone. Service was lacking and hurried We were in and out within 40 minutes and paid £160 for the pleasure. If you want something special please try the Ritz, Savoy or Claridges.

Such a beautiful hotel. The food was lovely and the staff very attentive. We had a wonderful waiter called anth who was telling us about the history of the hotel which was very interesting. We had a lovey afternoon, will definitely be back.

It was an amazing experience and beautiful surroundings. Choices of sandwiches were good it was a shame we couldn't order more desserts as these were chargeable. The only downside was if you are a group one person has to pay the bill.

My mum and 5 sisters went to the landmark for my sisters 30th as it’s been a bucket list of places we’ve always wanted to have afternoon there. The place is lovely and the afternoon is nice however service is far from exceptional. Our waiter although he was nice poured water for everyone but me. I didn’t even have a glass for water. I had to ask for a glass of water. The waiters come round to ask if we’d like some sandwiches and after asking several times for egg and cress sandwiches for my mum we were completely forgotten about. The same happened again with water. We asked for a refill of English Breakfast tea and they came with Rooibus tea. We told one of the waiters that they’d given the wrong tea and he said no it’s definitely English Breakfast tea and switched the label round. We then had to ask another who was actually assigned to our table and he apologised and requested for another pot. As this happened they came out with my sisters birthday tart without any warning. To be honest it was a disaster from start to finish as they concentrated on other guests rather than us. I didn’t want my sister to feel that things were ruined so we left without saying anything. It’s was really hard not to say anything because we didn’t want to ruin my sisters birthday. We spent £500 and was really disappointed.

This was one of the best afternoon tea experiences I've had in London. The sandwiches and pastries were exquisite, the ambiance and setting was beautiful and the service, (especially from Anth) was incredible! Thank you for making it an unforgettable experience
