The tea hour is always an intimate one; a time for friendly chats amid pleasant surroundings. Join us on Saturdays and Sundays in Hawthorn's Dining Room, where you’re invited to relax with our traditional afternoon tea menu of delicate tea pastries, dainty finger sandwiches, and oven-fresh scones to enjoy with a selection of LOT 35 Fairmont loose leaf teas.

Please mention any dietary restrictions, and/or if there will be any "little kings and queens" in attendance.

We had a wonderful experience at afternoon tea. The ambiance was elegant yet cozy, making it the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the afternoon. The food was beautifully presented and delicious - each bite was clearly made with care, from the delicate finger sandwiches to the perfectly baked scones and delightful pastries. The tea selection was impressive, with a variety of options to suit every preference. What truly stood out was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It made the whole experience feel extra special. Overall, it was a lovely afternoon, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined yet welcoming tea experience.

This was truly an amazing experience, the food was amazing & catered to my dairy allergy with ease while still providing quality food. The service was fantastic. We will definitely be going back.

The only thing that definitely could use some improvement is parking. I wanted to take advantage of the valet parking. Especially since my mother is 80. Got asked to move ahead for a vehicle to get out, I did and then needed to drive around the block again. Was behind a couple cars with 4 ways on/didn't see a valet was late for our Tea so gave up and parked in Parkade next door. Food and service was exceptional, as were all other hotel staff at providing direction too the Hawthorne and back to the applicable parkade. It is just unfortunate that the Palliser is on such a busy street making parking for guests such a challenge.

EXCELLENT!! Best high tea in Calgary. Great value, historical atmosphere, but the true star of the show is the amazing service.

A great experience! We had a group of four, 4 generations so ages ranged from 92 to 9 years of age. Perfect venue and easy access. The tea was delicious, the food was amazing (we ended up taking a to-go box) and there was ample for everyone! A special event that I would highly recommend!

A lovely treat for a mother/daughter outing. Our server was attentive and respectful of our time. Highly recommend !
