This season’s collection opens with a striking Versace gown, immortalised in vanilla mousse, Emmanuel sponge, a fig and plum compote, all topped off with a fashionable fruit tulle skirt. Harris Reed’s standout coat for Nina Ricci is crafted with Valrhona dark chocolate supreme and yuzu ganache, set on a citrus pain de gênes and finished with a chocolate statement collar.

Paco Rabanne’s shimmering ensemble is a Mont Blanc cake with chestnut mousse and blackcurrant jelly, set on a light caramelised chestnut sponge and topped with a glittering feather. Prada’s handbag of the season is a cinnamon blondie, glazed with silky white icing, and sandwiched with Ivoire chocolate. Victoria Beckham’s trophy jacket is an orange sablé, intricately piped with royal icing.

Finally, this season’s showstopping sharing cake is an Alexander McQueen gown, combining chocolate Gianduja cream, miso caramel and hazelnut sponge, finished with high-shine shimmering glaçage and a chocolate frill.

The best afternoon tea in London and they had a beautiful gingerbread house display for Christmas. Will be back for the next season if Pret a porteas!

After about 1.5 hours of table occupancy, we were asked to vacate the table - even though we had booked via Opentable and were even 1 hour early - i.e. we had been at the table for about 1/2 hour since the reserved time. We paid for tea, sandwiches, cake, champagne, juice for 4 people to the total of £321! It is an absolute outrage what the hotel has done here. In which other restaurant do you have to leave the table early if you consume a lot? Never again this hotel. Why should I book with Opentable again after this experience, what advantage is there? Nach ca. 1,5 Std. Tischbelegung hat man uns aufgefordert, den Tisch wieder frei zu machen - und das obwohl wir über Opentable reserviert hatten und sogar 1 Std. früher dran waren - d.h. wir waren etwa 1/2 Std. am Tisch seit dem reserviertem Zeitpunkt. Wir haben für 4 Personen Tee, Sandwiches, Kuchen, Sekt, Saft in Höhe von 321 Pfund bezahlt! Es ist eine absolute Unverschämtheit was sich das Hotel hier herausgenommen hat. In welchem sonstigen Restaurant muss man vorzeitig den Tisch verlassen wenn man viel konsumiert? Nie wieder dieses Hotel. Wieso soll ich nach dieser Erfahrung wieder mit Opentable reservieren, welchen Vorteil hat es?

The service and food were absolutely exceptional. I can't believe how much food you actually get! And the tea selection is also fantastic. The cakes are light, delectable works of art.

This Afternoon Tea in London is the best I have visited and I have been on ten other places earlier! Everything was extraordinary and it was my daughter’s daughter who told me to book Afternoon Tea at The Berkeley Hotel. It was her first visit in London and she was very pleased with Berkeley Hotels Cat Walk at Afternoon Tea!
