A lovely building - nice quiet area for my elderly mum who thoroughly enjoyed the northumbrian afternoon tea. Staff very helpful and food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic service as always. I was a little disappointed in the food. I wouldn't order afternoon tea again, but would definitely order from the main menu.

Lovely, welcoming staff. Food was great - loved the Northumbrian themed afternoon tea; made a change from the usual style.

Thoroughly recommend. The afternoon tea was amazing, there was a great choice and all of the food was absolutely delicious. Lovely staff in the most amazing setting. Well priced. Loved everything about it

First class afternoon tea and great that it was more than standard finger sandwiches, several scones and too many sweets... great that you had a choice of sandwiches, savouries and a sweet which was all tasty. Great venue and service and definitely returning.

Lovely afternoon tea for my parents golden wedding. Service was great. Food was delicious, would highly recommend and I'm sure we'll be back.

This is the second time I have been for afternoon. The first time was a treat for my parents and it was a lovely experience with excellent service. The second time I decided to treat my Daughter who was on Holiday and staying with me. The service was very slow and it was 40 minutes before we got our food. The Waitress wasn’t very friendly and I had to ask several times for different things. There seemed to be staff congregating around the bar talking but not attending customers.
