Join us for a traditional British afternoon tea, featuring a taste of ROAST classics!

Our afternoon tea comprises of 3 courses including finger sandwiches, savouries, traditional scones served with jam and clotted cream, and true British cakes. It is served alongside a great selection of tea.

We offer the perfect environment to enjoy the great British tradition of afternoon tea whilst looking down on the hustle and bustle of London’s oldest market place.

We are glad to offer the following alternative afternoon tea menus, with a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to your reservation: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Halal.

Our afternoon tea is available Friday to Sunday from 11:45am to 5:30pm.

The menu relies on only the freshest produce so is often subject to change.

Overpriced. The savoury food was bland and average. Even the tea and mocktails were watered down and lacked flavour. The desserts were nice as were the scones but definitely not worth the price. Atmosphere of restaurant is lovely.

The afternoon tea and cocktails were really nice and good portions but took a while for it to come out and unfortunately we specifically requested to sit in flower section but however were seated in the back of the restaurant even though I was told when booking the tables are given on a first come first served basis . On our arrival in the flower section there was two tables available that could have quite easily accommodated my booking of 10 people. My overall experience was let down by the seating arrangement and I didn’t get to experience the ambiance of the afternoon tea which is a shame as the food I couldn’t fault it

Amazing afternoon tea, with a delicious selection. Although, the option to have more than one pot of tea would have been great, given the price that I paid!!

Food was ok nothing special. No offers of more tea so was cold. You can’t beat afternoon tea at traditional hotels for the best value, taste and service.

Lovely afternoon tea. Very pretty restaurant. Quiet and calm ambiance. Great customer service. Had a wonderful birthday celebration. Very cute birthday pastry presented as a surprise. Nice touch.

I do not recommend the afternoon tea- we had the halal version. It is overpriced for very little food and only one pot of tea! The selection of sandwiches and pastries were awful! No taste! I have been to many afternoon teas and this was certainly one of the worst! The images on Instagram are incredibly edited!

Superb afternoon tea at Roast - a beautiful ambiance with lovely service and food. A lovely contrast to the hubbub of Borough Market below. Impeccably presented food - and the Big Ben cocktail with its dry ice was a definite 'wow' moment. And the decor made it very special. Slightly shocked by the £27 per glass price of rose champagne when you buy it on top of the afternoon tea package (where it is £20 per glass). And it would have been nice to get fresh plates for our pastries rather than putting my choux bun on top of the runny egg remains of my Scotch Egg! But all requests were dealt with efficiently and professionally. All in all, a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
