Join us for a traditional British afternoon tea, featuring a taste of ROAST classics!

Our afternoon tea comprises of 3 courses including finger sandwiches, savouries, traditional scones served with jam and clotted cream, and true British cakes. It is served alongside a great selection of tea.

We offer the perfect environment to enjoy the great British tradition of afternoon tea whilst looking down on the hustle and bustle of London’s oldest market place.

We are glad to offer the following alternative afternoon tea menus, with a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to your reservation: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Halal.

Our afternoon tea is available Friday to Sunday from 11:45am to 5:30pm.

The menu relies on only the freshest produce so is often subject to change.

We waited 20 minutes for a table we had booked the services was incredibly slow and then we were over charged for our bill and had to speak to a manager. I would not recommend I have been to better place with better service and value for money in London.

While it was wonderful that we were allowed access to our table 30 mins earlier than we had booked, we asked for table water and a drink and then proceeded to waited for 55 mins (25mins into our booked slot) for our waiter to be signalled twice and for them to ask us to wait on both occasions. We saw other tables arrive in their section during that time, including the same time as our booking, and be given drinks and their food almost immediately. Then when we did have our food, our waiter forgot our scones and another server went to get them instead 15 mins after we had finished the rest of our food. The other server was also very helpful with getting some extra items for my daughter who couldn’t eat some of the food. It seems that the other staff were great and ours unfortunately was not. The restaurant and food itself was amazing

We booked this for our wedding anniversary and specifically for the Halloween tea as advertised on social media. However, when we turned up only one corner of the restaurant was themed and we weren't sat here, despite specifically booking the Halloween tea and leaving a note saying it was for this as we were celebrating and are both Halloween lovers. When I questioned if we could be sat in the Halloween themed section, I was told "it's all Halloween" which it wasn't. We told both of our servers that we were both vegetarian and were given the vegetarian menu. However, when the food came out one tray of it was meat and despite being told it was vegetarian - meaning my partner ended up eating some of the meat product despite being a vegetarian for 18 years. It was when he took a bite he realised it was definitely not meat - we checked with the server who took the plate away and then came back with the veggie tray. He apologised but it didn't seem that it was taken very seriously - we stated our dietary requirements twice and were still given meat. If this had been something we were allergic to this could have been a lot more serious. We were only given a discount of 10% and the attitude was "people make mistakes" - which I totally understand however this was a huge mistake in feeding someone something that they have a dietary requirement against. Very overpriced for just a few sandwiches and small desserts. The desserts were the best part of the whole experience however we didn't eat the scones as they were rock hard, and some of the bread on the sandwiches were stale. Really disappointed as it didn't look like it was advertised at all and it ruined our wedding anniversary as this was the only thing we'd booked to celebrate.

A disappointing experience for our Nan’s 90th birthday. Unfortunately after our booking was made the price was increased and we had no choice but to have a Halloween themed afternoon tea with black scones and a syringe of jam. Even though I had marked on the booking the special occasion, no mention of it was made by any staff. The table we were sat on was in the middle of the restaurant and very loud which was a shame. The experience was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Hugely overrated social media fad. Afternoon tea was delicious and the decor was beautiful, but the service was non existent, the manager was rude, and there are lots of hidden cost. Not worth the price tag. Ended up being almost £90 each for afternoon tea!

Very tasty menu and the Gin based cocktail was delicious. Excellent value for money. Staff were attentive and it was a very pleasant experience.

Amazing! Food was 10/10 from the savouries to the dessert. Would definitely go back again. The tea we chose was delicious. Was a little bit dissapointed with the taste of mocktails and the variety there was only 3 options. Price wise we assumed it was £45 for the afternoon of course drinks included was an extra tenna but everything added up to £140 for two people which we wasn’t quite keen on.

The restaurant setting is very nice. Nice added addition of a cloakroom. All the staff were very polite. Friendly and attentive. The afternoon tea was very nice, good selection of sweet and savoury and Tea to choose from with the option of adding a cocktail or glass of champagne for an additional fee
