We had afternoon tea with a glass of Prosecco. The food was really good, could have had a better choice of sandwiches for different dietary needs. The chefs specials were a tasty addition too. The grounds of the secret garden and the pods were set up lovely. What really let the experience down was the service. It all started when we waited over ten for 3 simple drinks in the bar beforehand (it was particularly empty!). We were seated late (out booking was for 1pm but didn’t get seated for 15 mins after this!). They didn’t actually serve the afternoon tea for another 30 mins blaming a big party (14) and staff storage! The service amazing improved after we complained as they were not busy and we had booked! They did not charge us for the Prosecco to apologise. Sadly, I won’t be returning as if they can’t cope with roughly 25 people eating how can they cope when they are busy! Shame as the food was good.

El lugar es hermoso es lo único bonito que tienen! La calidad de todos los alimentos es demaciado bajo, muy feos los postres y sándwiches que ofrecen para el precio que se paga por persona! Lo único que nos gustó fue el té y una vez que nos llevaron nuestra hora del té el personal jamás se paró haber que más se nos ofrecía! No lo recomiendo

Had a lovely experience! Usman delivered incredible service and was thoughtful on explaining the experience. Would have loved to have tried a few more teas — the custard was my favorite

Not sure how to review it really. The food, service, and the outside pod was wonderful. It was totally spoilt by the Private School end of year party taking place around us the whole of the time that we were there. We have never seen such unruly children. The spitting of drinks and the swearing was totally unacceptable. The kicking of each other and the deliberate damage to the beautiful trees in the garden were absolutely disgusting we were totally shocked. As were the people in the next pod to us who also made a complaint. The waiter and the manager of the DoubleTree spoke to the organiser and the parents on many occasions as it was getting totally out of hand. I am disappointed to say the parents did nothing to rectify the situation and many stood by and watched the antics carryon. Disgraceful! But thank you for the staff of the Doubletree who really did try their best to put a stop to what was going on around them, but they were totally ignored!!!!! I would return but hopefully when there isn't a raucous party going on at the same time.

Had a lovely time!! Food and unlimited tea was delicious! Garden pods are beautiful, with AC and Heater for temperate control. The restaurant was complicated to find as it's inside the Hilton Hotel and the receptionist didn't know what we were talking about. Had to wait around for hostess to come out and bring us to seats. Service was then good and nice

12/10! Larissa provided fantastic service for a wonderful afternoon tea experience in a garden dome. The atmosphere and full setup was lovely. We were bringing our grandma, who has been wanting crumpets for the past week but we weren’t able to find any. When booking the reservation, I added that in a comment and said we would appreciate some saved if they were to run low… when we got there, we found out that they do not serve them but Larissa had gone to a separate shop and bought them to ensure a plate full for grandma! The crumpets were good, but not as great as the variety of food, endless teas and fantastic service from the Secret Garden! Highly recommend!!

A wonderful afternoon tea experience. The dome is good for taking pictures but a bit hot and stuffy. Fish and chip is highly recommended. Afternoon tea is not bad.

It was our first time in London and going to tea as a family. My oldest daughter and I have been to many teas (Ritz Carlton, Hotel Bel Air - a sister hotel to the Dorchester, Pennisula Beverly Hills and many more) and so we knew what we were looking for. Originally we were thinking of Harrods or Fortum & Mason but ultimately saw in pics that it looked crowded and noisy. Since this was going to be my husband and two boys first tea experience I wanted a very special ambiance. I am not even certain how I found it but when I saw pictures of “The Secret Garden” and the private glass domes, I was sold. Even if we did not get a dome, the garden looked private and lovely. As it turned out, we were able to get a private dome and everything exceeded my expectations. We are traveling Europe and surprisingly tea here has remained the family highlight. Even my two boys ages 16 and 12 who were skeptical LOVED it. The service was impeccable (I even loved the navy and white gingham shirts they wore), the atmosphere very private and quiet which I found a necessity for our enjoyment) and the food was delicious. They even offered my two youngest 12 and 8 a 1/2 priced selection with some different child friendly items they loved while still giving them traditional fare to try. One of my favorite things was that there was no music!!! We were able to set the tone in our own dome with our own classical selection and when we were out in the garden before and after - the lack of music really allowed you to ENJOY THE GARDEN- and let you hear the sounds and tune your senses to its natural delights. There was a fragrant jasmine arch we enjoyed pictures under and they even offered some lawn games for the children. It’s setting was ideallic with large trees backed up by an old church. It was everything I was hoping for and more. I hate to draw much attention to it because it seems it truly is a secret! And we loved that it was! To find such a haven amidst the bustling streets was truly magical!
