Afternoon tea is a pastime that can be enjoyed all year round. Indulge in Traditional Afternoon tea at our forest inspired restaurant, Cambium, in the comfort of our cosy lounge in front of a roaring log fire during the winter or under the cedar tree on the lawn in the summer.

Graze on a mouth-watering selection of finely cut sandwiches, speciality cakes including freshly baked scones smothered in New Forest Jam and thick clotted cream, all complemented by a large selection finest silk prism teas from Birchalls' and Fair Trade coffee. Who could resist such delicious delicacies?

Careys Manor's vegan afternoon tea and gluten-free afternoon tea is extremely popular with delights including vegan coconut milk truffles and gluten-free macroons.

A lovely atmosphere for the afternoon. The staff were incredibly attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. One of our party has food intolerances and allergies which were catered for and alternatives supplied. Staff made sure that we wanted for nothing. A relaxed and enjoyable afternoon, many thanks.

Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The selection of sandwiches was excellent and they were very fresh. Scones and cakes were delicious and what we couldn’t finish we took back to room for later. A really lovely afternoon. Easily wheelchair accessible which makes a huge difference to us, as a lot of places aren’t.

Firstly the location is delightful and the staff very welcoming and friendly. However, the Cream Tea was very disappointing. The sandwiches were fine but the scones (the key element of a Cream Tea) were dry and tasteless! This was mentioned to a member of staff who offered to replace them but with a selection of cakes remaining we chose not to. We had a couple of the cakes which were fine but nothing to rave about and asked for the others to be boxed to take home. That evening we decided to have one of the cakes that we brought home only to find that they were also dry and not particularly tasty. Overall our experience was not a good one and we would not recommend Carey’s Manor based on our visit.

I loved the afternoon tea, the sandwiches were great and the scones were warm and extremely moreish. The staff were lovely and the entire experience was exactly what I hoped it would be. I would definitely go back!

Sadly not the experience I was expecting. Food very dry and small for the money. Although the scones were nice. Tired seating area, staff not attentive. No atmosphere at all.

Absolutely wonderful service, a lovely happy birthday plate bought put for my mother which was truly a nice touch. Outstanding customer service and wonderful food.

Excellent service in a beautiful venue. Catered for vegetarian diets too. Nice selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes with top ups of tea pots when needed. We stayed for three hours talking and enjoying the atmosphere.

Food was delicious, some cakes were not to our taste but that does not matter. Tea options were great. Left the hotel feeling full. Did however feel the service was a bit of a let down. There were two other couples while we were there. Both couples were asked in the middle of their cream tea if everything was alright and if they needed anything else. But we were not asked that. Which we both found strange. Dont know if it was because we were younger (in our 20s) or looked like we were enjoying the food. But we were never asked
