Afternoon tea is a pastime that can be enjoyed all year round. Indulge in Traditional Afternoon tea at our forest inspired restaurant, Cambium, in the comfort of our cosy lounge in front of a roaring log fire during the winter or under the cedar tree on the lawn in the summer.

Graze on a mouth-watering selection of finely cut sandwiches, speciality cakes including freshly baked scones smothered in New Forest Jam and thick clotted cream, all complemented by a large selection finest silk prism teas from Birchalls' and Fair Trade coffee. Who could resist such delicious delicacies?

Careys Manor's vegan afternoon tea and gluten-free afternoon tea is extremely popular with delights including vegan coconut milk truffles and gluten-free macroons.

The food was lovely, but I have had better afternoon teas. The restaurant was pretty empty, so no real 'atmosphere' and I am not a fan of Birchall tea bags - I much prefer loose teas. Overall, it was a nice experience and the staff could not be more helpful and accommodating- just that the whole experience is a little lacklustre.

I took my parents for my dad's 94th birthday. He thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff could not be more attentive, yet not intrusive. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect, with beautiful surroundings and subtle background music. We will definitely be back!

Lovely afternoon tea, nice selection of sandwiches (would have liked a couple more sandwiches) and cakes. Scones were absolutely delicious. Really nice surroundings. Thinking of booking for the festive afternoon tea, hopefully will be decorated beautifully.

Reception staff were not welcoming on arrival Ambiance was non existent Sandwiches were dry Scones were lovely but no one told us what the cakes were so we didn’t tea those Service was sporadic The last member of staff to serve us was delightful but overall I don’t think I would go back.

The service was very good as was the food and the kitchen was very accommodating dealing with my friends vegetarian and gluten free requirements. However no mention was made of her birthday despite my including this with my reservation which was a shame. I felt the setting didn’t make the most of it’s beautiful surroundings leaving the overall ambiance lacking.

I felt the sandwiches were not freshly made, maybe made and stored in the refrigerator. The choice of cakes was poor, with soggy pastry on one item. It all felt like it was not fresh.

It was lovely to find somewhere which served both classic afternoon tea and a vegan option. The choice on both was great and very tasty. The pastry on the caramel tart was soft rather than crisp, and the same on the choux bun - although the passion fruit filling was amazing. The majority of servers were very enthusiastic and attentive, with just one who was unsure of what they were serving and shirt looked like it had been pulled out of the ironing pile 😂

A lovely atmosphere for the afternoon. The staff were incredibly attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. One of our party has food intolerances and allergies which were catered for and alternatives supplied. Staff made sure that we wanted for nothing. A relaxed and enjoyable afternoon, many thanks.
