Children's Afternoon Tea Menu

Not forgetting the little ones on their special day too. We have carefully created a Children's themed afternoon tea menu which is great for birthday parties, communion's celebrations/christenings etc, they will love it! To book this package you must meet a minimum number requirement of 10 persons or more. £13 per child (aged 3-12 years). Cake and pastries selection subject to change

Disappointing. Having got married at the Barns, we had been looking forward to returning. We had one afternoon tea previously which was excellent. This one was not. The sandwiches were edible, but rather lack lustre. The scones were the best thing on the tea, but the cakes were just sponge slices and two mini macaroons. Coffee was as expected. We asked for bottomless Prosecco as previously, but our young server Tom, who did his best was clearly unsure, but provided entertainment in watching him move tables outside through the window. It was at that time we were awaiting service. It was sad for us, especially as we felt we had some kind of affinity with The Barns.

Had a lovely afternoon tea for my mums birthday. Beautiful setting, lovely food and great service - very reasonable price wise too!

The food was delicious and very well prepared. Ingredients were surprisingly lovely - given that this place is basically in the middle of no where. We went with a group of 8 in between London and Bedford. We went at 5 pm, when they must have been changing staff over for the night. We were basically forgotten about for a while, and even though we booked specifically for afternoon tea, per Open Table’s site, when we got there, they said they didn’t have us booked for tea so we were offered the dinner menu. It turned out to be better than having tea, but not what we planned. I would guess if you go at a more regular time, this would not be a problem. So, your experience will likely be fantastic, charming, and delicious.

It was a lovely afternoon spoilt by a few things. The food was good but we were on such a small table it hardly fitted and made conversation with friend difficult, we wete not offered the option of prosecco. There was only 1 set of knife and fork fone for the savory but not to then use for the scones etc. Got the bill quickly enough but then everyone disappeared in the end had to grab a young lad just walking through to pay

The food was really nice and was extremely tasty. Thought their would be a flow of tea and coffee. Was only asked if we wanted more tea when we were getting sorted to go. Was a lovely setting to enjoy with friends.

Had a lovely time! Unfortunately we were there on the day of a big function, and sat right next to them! Would have given a 5 star if we were out the way, felt part of there party really took our experience away! I doubt we will go there again because of this! Couldn’t fault the food or service just a shame we were next to the 60th birthday meal!

I won the voucher in a draw and everything was lovely would recommend to all especially in the summer as can sit by the river.

We stayed for a long weekend seeing family -- booked afternoon tea -- plenty of food, staff very helpful -- we asked for more sandwiches no problem. Lovely sitting outside sunny day.

Fourth visit for afternoon tea. Lovely selection. Great service. Very attentive. My only negative point would be that we came for a birthday and usually all guests receive a complimentary glass of bubbly but on this occasion only the birthday girl received it. I was very disappointed as we couldn't toast the birthday girl together.
