Our newest restaurant, Afghania is the sister restaurant to Bistro Aracosia in the Palisades neighborhood of DC, Aracosia in McLean Va and Afghan Bistro in Springfield VA. Afghania accommodates any diet and is proud of taking cooking back to its origins.

Welcome to Afghania, where the Steppe of Central Asia meets the Hindu Kush and Suleiman Mountain Range, bordering South Asia. Come and enjoy the warm hospitality, exquisite flavors, and the mystery of the Afghan frontier that so many have been intrigued by.

It was amazing! I love afghani food and really particular about flavor, presentation etc.This restaurant did an excellent job! It was sooo good we kept eating even when full! Highly recommend!

One of the best afghan restaurant or restaurant I have been to, aesthetics clean, vibes were great, service with their team, and food quality and taste was super, even though we didn’t ordered we were served with appetizers and also a FIRNI with a candle as we were their for my fiancés birthday dinner. Highly recommended and best restaurant!

Excellent overall. Waiter knew his stuff, food was 10 out of 10, and prices weren’t bad for M street. Only nit pick is that the dishes came out too fast. We had appetizer, entree, and dessert all in an hour. It would have been great to pace it better.

A wide variety of choices, excepting only salmon as a fish/seafood dish. My dish was nicely seasoned over very nice rice: the veal was tender and flavorful. Service was very well done. Good choice of beers and wines by the glass. Nice neighborhood vibe.

Our group of 10 seniors was treated very nicely. Food was good, though the dumplings could use a bit more tender loving care on the pasta, and the veggie platter could have a little more distinct flavor from veggie to veggie. Lamb was 100% excellent. Everyone loved the rice with raisins. Service was excellent.

Afghania is a wonderful restaurant with exceptional service and good Afghan food. The vibe is similar to a small jazz bar restaurant with a southeast Asian twist. Would absolutely recommend.
