Hailing from Florence, Italy, Adelmo Banchetti started his career in the food and beverage world at the tender age of 16. His work took him all over the world from ships to hotels, and finally, Dallas, Texas , where he worked at the legendary Fairmont Hotel’s Pyramid Room, the Mansion On Turtle Creek, and the Crescent Court Hotel. In 1989, he and his wife Eliza, who hails from the Mediterranean region, opened Adelmo’s Ristorante to rave reviews. Their love of family, friends, good food and wines is reflected, to this day, at Adelmo’s. We feature cuisine inspired by the Italian/ Mediterranean region as well as the herbs, spices and grains indigenous to its shores. Made with the freshest ingredients. Now, the tradition continues with their children Andrew and Lauren on board . We continue to be family owned and operated and offer award winning wine selections and personalized service, all in a rare old world setting.

I truly can’t rave enough about this restaurant. The staff are so kind and knowledgeable and the food is delicious.

Upon arrival, we were placed at a tiny table along the wall with patio seats to make room for their reported full reservation schedule. The seats were fine, but we quickly learned that the foot traffic was a huge problem. It felt like the freeway we had exited to get to the site… crazy. Wait staff were almost running into each other when trying to squeeze through the narrow gap between tables. We were bumped several times in the process. We requested to move to the bar and our waiter moved us, but kept us on his service. This angered the bartender and the hostess who didn’t even try to conceal it or be understanding about how we, the customer, felt. If I am going to spend my hard earned money, I expect and deserve a relaxing dining experIence. We also tipped the bartender in an attempt to take the high road. There are an abundance of fine Italian restaurants in the Dallas area to choose from, so we won’t be back to this one.

We thank you for your visit, and it's unfortunate what you felt. Indeed, we had a full house, and we did not have enough chairs, and never had this happened before. Neither the bartender nor myself, as hostess and owner , were displeased with your move. Perhaps it was your perception. Our aim is to take care of every customer. We apologize for your experience.

Jeffery one of the best and nicest waiters in Dallas. The hostess always has a welcome greeting. The service is impeccable. The entrees are very good. The shrimp capellini is excellent . Tim’s chicken milanese very good as well. Good wine selections as well.

Excellent service in a warm, intimate setting. We tried four different entrees at our table and all were delicious!

Have dined at Adelmo's back in the mid 80s - always enjoyed. Like the new arrangement of making 2 rooms of the dining area. Noise level was acceptable. Waiter has been with Adelmo for many years and provided very good service. Recommend for a special evening.

Found food to be quite average. I would stay away from fish entrees. Pasta was good.

Adelmo’s is excellent in so many aspects. First the food: we had the mussels as an entree versus being offered as an appetizer. The tomato based sauce with the mussels was extraordinary! My husband ordered the pasta primavera which was very flavorful. We also ordered sides of spinach and a small serving of whole wheat pasta to go with the mussels. John was our server. You must ask for him if he is working on the night you go. He actually added to our wonderful experience at the restaurant. You can tell it is family run with daughter Lauren welcoming us to the restaurant. All staff is perfectly attentive without being intrusive. We will be back to enjoy many more dinners!
