Addison Café- French Bistro offers guests in Dallas a menu filled with French culinary delights in an upscale environment that is perfect for an elegant evening out. The dinner menu had a nice selection of seafood, beef, chicken and pasta dishes. Food was delicious and nicely presented. The service was exceptional. Nice quiet atmosphere where one can actually have a nice conversation. We went in the middle of the week, so it was a bit quieter. Would recommend this neighborhood restaurant, especially for couples or small groups.

This well established French Bistro has been providing fine French cuisine, with an attentive Professional Staff and Ownership, for many years. What a wonderful dining experience, at a price that won't send you to the poor house! :) Both the Lamb dish I had, and the Seafood dish my date had, which followed a mushroom soup appetizer, were superb. The staff were very attentive and made you feel like a VIP. Parking and access, were very convenient. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!

A metroplex staple/institution that serve consistently fine French cuisine, excellent cocktails and reasonable wine with superb service. Perfect date night. Not too loud.

The food was really bad. The bread they serve was fine, the butter was very bland. When you serve bread and butter, both elements should be very tasty. Amazing butter is easy to find, but they don't bother. The wait staff was attentive enough that we didn't feel neglected. It started out rough... I ordered an old fashioned and it came out with so much ice I couldn't drink it without taking out half the ice. When I got to the bottom, I discovered granulated sugar in the bottom of the glass. I'm pretty sure they just used the well bourbon, too, which is of poor quality. The waiter didn't ask which bourbon I wanted, so I just went along.This inattention to detail was a precursor to things to come. I ordered the L'Escalope de Veau du Cafe ($36.95) . It seemed like it was a frozen entree from Ben E. Kieth or Costco. Crispy, but very bland. It had two or three sauces over it, but they were both bland and over-relied on salt for the flavor. I ate it because I was very hungry, but overall it was barely edible. The side of spaghetti and marinara was very bland as well. My wife ordered Le Pave de Bouf au Poivre, (37.00) which was also very bland and dry. She ordered it cooked medium, but it looked more like medium well. Either way, no excuse for a dry bland steak. I think the cut of meat had been frozen and was of poor quality. She ate about 1/4 of it and had to stop. I tasted it myself... very poor. The whole food part of the experience was like Luby's Cafeteria, at three times the cost. The atmosphere was ok, although quite dated and a little worn, but I think it was going for the "quaint French Bistro" vibe so, whatever. We got out of there ASAP with no desert. I do not recommend. There are lots of other French Restaurants out there that great. I'm thinking the good reviews above are by either relatives, friends or people who are not accustomed to higher-quality cuisine, French or otherwise. The price was outrageously over priced for the poor quality.
