Ada's Fish House is a family owned and operated establishment, boasting fresh fish and seafood in a relaxed atmosphere. Ada's offers classic coastal dishes with an East Coast influence such as crab cakes and lobster rolls with mouth watering specialties of Pacific Coast Halibut, local snapper, and seafood pasta. Ada's sources fresh seafood daily in order to provide the highest quality product to their customers. Executive Chef and owner, Douglas MacMillan, is always introducing new and exciting dishes - simple and fresh. A mostly local wine list and full bar await your arrival.

We all enjoyed our meal… Some staff were dressed in costumes for Halloween which added to the fun and would definitely dine here again.

Ada's was easy to find, very limited parking at the moment, but food and service were worth the stop. Had local halibut and super fresh green beans. Sourdough bread was a treat for this out of towner.

Best fish and chips, clam chowder, and shrimp dinner with their brown rice! Also love their Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. Nice selection of local wine. I can’t forget to mention the delicious sour dough bread rolls and butter to start. Service is always great.

The sourdough roll were warm, crusty and went well with the brussel sprouts. Oyster Rockerfeller were yummy. The whole snapper was an Italian rockfish not a local fish. The key lime cheesecake was excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first meal at Ada's and we'll be back. Excellent clam chowder. A very wide menu choice. And our server was attentive and enjoyable to talk to.

Loved Wanda our server- it was super busy and we never felt like she wasn’t there to support us, which is a tough thing. She was really attentive and never forgot anything we needed. The service support was also very great and the food was delicious. We will return.

I visited Ada’s Fish House last night for our anniversary and had a generally positive experience, though there were a few areas for improvement. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the staff was kind and attentive. However, despite mentioning it was our 6th anniversary, there was no special acknowledgment, which was a bit disappointing considering the occasion and the fact we picked the restaurant over others. In terms of food, while the dishes were flavorful, they leaned too heavily on garlic and salt. My husband ordered the fish of the day, a rockfish over rice, but it was literally covered in a vibrant orange sauce that completely masked the natural taste of the fish. It felt like the seasoning overwhelmed the quality ingredients. Additionally, although the restaurant is said to be dog-friendly, the patio was closed, which might affect those looking to bring pets. My service dog was allowed inside, but I’d recommend double-checking if you’re planning to bring your dog. Overall, Ada’s has a lot of potential with friendly service and a nice ambiance, but a bit more attention to flavor balance and customer occasions would go a long way.

Easy walk from our hotel. We sampled the clam chowder at the festival and that is what definitely determined we would come here for dinner. Luckily we made reservations and were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. Servers were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being obnoxious. Our dinners were excellent. We will definitely return next time we are in Pismo Beach.

Our go to place for seafood. Love talking with Mike the manager as he keeps us updated about the new outdoor patio. From the plans he showed us, it will be spectacular ! Nice to see his excitement as it comes together after many years of planning. Alisha, our server was great fun. Nothing better than great food and great fun people!

This place is a must stop if visiting Pismo Beach. The staff is super friendly and helpful with menu items. Great recommendations. The clam chowder is a must, very creamy and not overwhelmed with potatoes. I ordered the lobster roll warm and it was delicious. My other family members ordered their special the halibut, very good too. Overall very happy and definitely coming here again when I am visiting Pismo Beach.
