                                      Service doesn't match the quality of food and even the food was supe spotty in terms of quality. IMO skip the fondue if you've had good fondue before this isn't special. But the mains were good! The bathroom has a soap dispenser on the wall that doesn't work with a label on it that reads "decorative".... There is nothing decorative about their scary bathroom and for the price is very odd.

                                      We went for the prix fixe New Year fondue and it was fantastic! We started with the Absinthe flight and it was an experience and really tasty. Cheese, meat and dessert fondues were authentic and the perfect size. The service was educational and timed well.

                                      Every December my dear pal and I have a holiday tradition 💞 of sharing a holiday meal @ Absinthe. It's a highlight of the season and this year was no exception. Our server Olivia was welcoming, and very helpful with wine pairing for our prix fixe meal.... absolutely the tradition will continue for many more years!

                                      We made a mistake on going on Fondue Night as it had a limited menu (2 items other than Fondue). They also didn’t have our table ready at our reserved time and had to sit at bar for 15 minutes. No big deal but not what we expected. Wine selection was good but House Red was not a good quality wine and was $16 per glass (overpriced). Meals, Steak Frite and Salmon were very good. Bread was amazing. The Server did let us know about the 3 course special so I had Soup (excellent), main and desert. This was a good value. Would definitely go back but not on Fondue Night. It was very busy for the Fondues so I would suspect they are very good.

                                      We had the beef Wellington meal. The beef was great, but that board of seafood items was bizarre. The shrimp in particular were awful. I can’t believe no one has mentioned before how awful it tastes and how it really doesn’t match a beef Wellington meal. We left most of the food on the board, which the server cleared away without saying anything about the fact we clearly didn’t enjoy it.

                                      Appetizers were just ok, nothing really special. Mains (Steak/frites) were exceptional, maybe the best steak I’ve had in Ottawa. Service was terrible! We were seated right away then sat at our table for almost 30 minutes before we were approached by a server. Another couple were seated 10 minutes after us and had their beverages and bread 10 minutes after that. Music played was annoying. I noticed that there were 2 speakers missing on our side of the room so all we heard was bass thumping from the other side.
