Very good food. When I looked at the menu I was a bit skeptical and I don’t really see anything ‘interesting’ or ‘special’ but then all my dishes were executed perfectly. I ordered the fried eggplant (surprisingly really really good), the flat bread w pumpkin dip (we had to order extra flatbread), the fried smelt, oyster, octopus, sea bream, chicken and the prawn rice. Dessert is really good too, we had the blueberry cheesecake and the passion fruit ganache. Overall the good n service of this restaurant is 5 stars.

Friendly, knowledgeable server both about the food and the wine. Her recommendations were spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. And save room for dessert.

Amazing atmosphere. Came for brunch. Menu was small but that's ok. What we ordered though was bland and flavourless.

Excellent experience for our first dinner in Toronto! This place is great! We ate in the bar (casual) area and had Emma as our server. She was top drawer!

It’s an absolutely gorgeous restaurant and the service was incredible. The food is terrific but I have to say that everything I had was just a tad sweet - a trend I am noting more and more at high end restaurants.

The saddest “happy hour” ever! The “patio” is in a smelly alley where people were smoking and there was no sun, so we moved indoors. The staff didn’t look thrilled to have the 6 customers that were there for happy hour, except the server who tried very hard to make up for her colleagues. My cosmo was quite nice but we ordered draught beer and received canned. The eggplant dip was very average tasting, but the $2 oysters made up for it. There was an intense staff meeting taking place approximately 12 feet away from our table. Awkward! Not to mention inappropriate. No one looked happy to be there and we felt like we were imposing so we quickly left and went to a much happier Happy Hour. Big disappointment for an establishment affiliated with such a reputable hotel. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that your recent experience fell short, which is not the experience we pride ourselves in providing. I apologize for the inconvenience caused with the draft beer. The keg was being replaced, so we were temporarily out of draft beer. The staff meeting you noted, was a team briefing, where we communicate and outline the needs for the night's service, guest experience expectations and review daily service standards. Our team briefings, involve the entire team, in which, we find it's more effective to hold within a close sight to the guest to meet any needs. Well I wanted to love this place, and it was ok. But there were things that really detracted from the experience. First, we were seated at a nice table, but had a very boisterous group of 4 guys next to us that had clearly been there for a bit and were loudly cussing and conversing. I don’t have virgin ears or a mouth but my husband had to say something to them, not the wait staff. The guys were apologetic but we shouldn’t have had to be the ones to say something, not for a $400 tab. Second, we had the chefs tasting menu which was $85.00 per person and the wine pairing which was $60.00 per person. I have had a few experiences with this and this was rushed and unorganized. They served 5 different appetizers in rapid succession often several on table at a time. There was zero explanation of the menu we were eating and we had to ask. The food, in general, was good. And the wait staff was excellent. But for the price, I wanted a more curated and less rushed experience. I think if we had ordered from the menu instead of the chefs menu, we would have enjoyed the food more.
