Aboyer (ab-wah-yay), meaning, “to bark,” is a French-American brasserie as imagined by Chef Michael Lachowicz. Aboyer wakes up the senses with a sexy, energetic vibe. Refined French pub-grub served alongside craft cocktails & wine in the contemporary space exudes a nouveau-bistro style.

Located in the heart of Chicago's North Shore, the menu features starters such as Potato & Truffle Soup, Charcuterie, and Rabbit & Sage Sausage to main courses including Coq au Vin, Cassoulet, Faroe Island Salmon and more.

Reservations are recommended; walk-ins are welcome. Aboyer requires a credit card to secure all reservations. Please note that reservations cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled booking will incur a $25 per guest cancellation fee & no-shows will be billed at a rate of $50 per guest.

Celebrated our anniversary at Aboyer and enjoyed a fabulous bouillabaisse. We enjoyed everything - the service, the food, the atmosphere and the fact we could actually hear each other talk. We will definitely return!

We always enjoy dining at Aboyer and last night was no exception. We like their regularly changing specials - last night, soft shell crab on brioche, very well prepared - started with their excellent salade lyonnaise and ended with a scrumptiously fresh strawberry shortcake, all accompanied with a refreshing white Bordeaux. Our service could not have been better and we had a wonderful evening!

We had a fantastic meal at Aboyer dining al fresco in their outside covered area. Our server Alfredo was attentive and did an excellent job answering our questions about the menu and having the bartender modify one of the special cocktails with lavender syrup instead of using the usual simple syrup. I had the surf and turf, which was prime strip steak atop a bacon enhanced potato skin, and a tempura battered soft shell crab with a delicious sauce. For dessert I had creme brulee, which was top notch. I am going back in a few weeks. I love Aboyer and recommend it to my friends!

Superb kitchen. Always get's it right, consistent and thoughtful prep. Salmon au poivre and whitefish with chanterelles were both great as was the lyonnaise salad. Pot de creme perfect finish. Outdoor dining great as was the live music.

Great staff. Everyone knows the menu and the chef’s vision.. only disappointment is, they discontinued duck on the menu and ran out of strawberry shortcake. Best French fries I have ever eaten. Food is spectacular.

Aboyer exceeded our expectations. Besides a little wait to get seated, everything else was exceptional. Only suggestion is to have one or two options for kids. We will be back

It was a father's day celebration and it was held in the perfect place. Aboyer continues to be a five star operation in every respect.
