Great service - patient, professional, friendly. The chopped salad was outstanding - was really so much more than just a chopped salad - every ingredient was special. Lentils - another delicious, highly recommended dish. I always return here.

Lovely, always… this is one of my favorite spots in the whole city. The Tin Building location doesn’t hold a candle to the original spot and we were so glad to be back here. The mushroom eggs are always delicious, the dosa is a must, and almond pancakes were DIVINE…

The restaurant week vegan menu was fantastic! My guests and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed every dish, sharing everything! The only problem was deciding which was best! The other problem was with open table which showed all later reservations taken when in fact, the restaurant was mostly empty! Very bad for ABCV!

The food was really wonderful!! Flavor, freshness, every part of it was truly delicious. The service was a little sketchy. Food before wine! We ordered sparkling water and the waiter just disappeared for more than 10 minutes. The food is so fabulous, it deserves real care! That would not deter me from coming back or highly recommending it to friends!!

Super overpriced, tiny portions of food that randomly appear at the convenience of the kitchen. Makes for a very awkward situation. Trendy gone rogue. Another American restaurant that has hijacked what dining really is.

Retired professional chef here - The food is outstanding. The seasoning, plating, harmony of flavors is truly worth the expense, and it is expensive. The chef respects and understands the character and brings out the richness/depth of every vegetable. This is not your hippie veg/vegan cafe and it isn't the frou frou micro green tweezer overwrought type of restaurant way over done these days. This is honest, beautiful crisp fresh cooking - a revelation. Get the wonton mushroom in a tomato broth, grilled shiitake mushroom, corn fritter, just about anything on the menu, but the two pasta dishes forget - pasta was cooked perfect but the sauces were not up to the marvel that the rest of menu holds. The ice creams were luscious. The front of the house needs work and was disappointing. The waitress was charming and professional but the management has dropped the ball. Simple tasks like clearing the table of first course dishes and flatware so that second course dishes, sauces and clutter don't mix, should be a basic in a pricey place like this. Wine suggestions with the meal would also be appreciated. The noise level is awful and nothing some decent acoustic tiles wouldn't cure. If they just put the tiles on the underside of the tables it would probably cut the harsh din by half. When you can't hear your dining companions sitting directly across the table then the owners don't respect the guests, it's that simple! The 20 and 30 year olds were just as annoyed by the racket as the elder diners so don't want that used as an excuse. This restaurants food is way too good to be treated so casually by the front of the house manager and owners.

Every bite was delicious. I would definitely go back to this restaurant even though the options are endless in New York City.
