Le restaurant A16 doit son nom à l'autoroute reliant la Campanie aux Pouilles. Il propose un menu qui puise ses racines dans les traditions rustiques de ces régions italiennes méridionales hautes en couleurs. Sa carte des vins met à l'honneur les cépages italiens du sud et plus de 40 vins sont disponibles au verre et en carafe. The bar features traditional and modern cocktails and a wide selection of amaro. The A16 Pizza Truck is a restored 1959 Jeep Willys FC170 with our wood burning oven mounted on the back. This little truck can produce wood fired pizza for events ranging in size from intimate house parties to major music festivals. We can also prepare a variety of antipasti, salumi, salads, roasted meats, cocktails, and wines from our award winning list. Just let us know what you’d like, and we love to drive over and make it all happen!

    The food was very good. If you are looking for pizza, there are lots of choices. Not so many non-pizza ones. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drink options. It was noisy but not so noisy that we couldn't have a good conversation. Our only complaint was that our table was in front of the door so every time someone came in, we got hit with cold air.

    We are a family of 4 hoping for a nice meal out. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The food was OK, our steak was dry and pizza had way too much cheese so it was soggy. But the worst part was the service. Our waitress seemed like she would rather be anywhere else than at the restaurant, she barely made eye contact or smiled and at times didn’t even try to listen to us over the loud noise of the restaurant. I appreciate not everyone likes their job, and we all have a bad days but when you’re dining out and receive poor service, it’s really a buzz kill. Especially given the restaurant is so pricey. Really disappointed for a restaurant that has so much potential.

    We were a party of three & were seated promptly in a nice table. The server greeted us warmly & brought water asking if we were interested in starters, which we ordered. She opened the wine we had brought & got appropriate glasses. The warm olives were sensational as was the burrata & prosciutto. Beet salad was delicious. Had to ask for bread. Pizza was delicious & filling. All the while we had to shout across the table to communicate with our dinner mates. The laughter & whooping at one table were disturbing to the point of having to turn off hearing aids. The chocolate dessert was outstanding as was the Americano coffee. The server was attentive & pleasant, highly professional. Our party of three agreed that the food & service was worth the trip to College Avenue, but the noise level was so distracting that it might be a few years before we returned to A16.

    We gathered with a couple of friends for a quick dinner last night… we ate at A16 in the past and thought it would be a good pick for the evening. The place is nice and cozy, the atmosphere is right and the service is good +. We started with 2 antipasti that we shared « family style »: the beet salad and « misticanza » their version of a green salad. Both were good and enough as appetizers. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about our mains… I had the squid ink pasta, my wife and one of our friends had the Halibut, while the other one had the Cavatelli. The Halibut was grossly overcooked, at $43/plate it is regrettable. My pasta was ok but nothing to brag about, ultra simple tomato sauce and half the mussels were either unopened or empty but not to be found on the plate. The Cavatelli were falling apart a far cry from « Al denté »! I wished we had picked another venue…

    We had a mixed experience. It took an hour for our main course to be cooked because we had an unfinished salad which evidently they were waiting for us to finish. We had left a little and no one asked if we were done. We had a vegan and non-vegan order and both came out vegan. They were apologetic and quickly delivered the actual non-vegan pizza I ordered. In fairness, the vegan issue was confusing and was an honest mistake they apologized for. It was bustling and noisy eating outside on the parklit on the street and that likely contributed to the confusion. I would not recommend outside seating. Very nice servers and good food but a bit disappointing an experience overall.

    Very noisy, pork chop very tough. Go for pizza and overpriced Italian wine.

    Haven't visited A16 in a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised how good it is now. For starters we chose from a list of creative cocktails, variations on Italian classics like aperol spritz and negroni. We loved the fried castelvetrano olives with our drinks. The chicory and arugula salad was lovely and just the right amount to share. The pizza with artichokes and mushrooms was so good I kept eating it long after I was full. Finally, service was friendly and prompt, never intrusive, always there when we needed them. The dining room is comfortable and attractive, and the crowd is a mixture of neighborhood diners and after-work happy hour attendees in business attire. We'll definitely be back!

    Halibut was extremely dry and overcooked. Bucatini was do salty that almost inedible. Pizza, salads and sides were very good.
