Fondée en 2013, Capitol Cider est un restaurant, un magasin d'alcool et une salle de spectacle avec bar complet, situé au cœur du quartier Capitol Hill de Seattle. Leur bar offre plus de 170 cidres en bouteille et en fut, également 10 bières artisanales en fut, ainsi que des spiritueux conçus à base de pommes, incluant vodka, gin et calvados. Leur menu de style "Pub" moderne est entièrement sans gluten. L'atmosphère du bar est créée avec des panneaux sombres, une collection impressionnante de copies de tableaux célèbres, des livres antiques et des éléments architecturaux d'époque. Au sous-sol, vous trouverez des tables de jeux de palets, jeux de société, des jeux de type anecdotes et quelques téléviseurs (normalement cachés) qui sont utilisés pour les événements locaux sportifs ou culturels. La propriétaire Julie Tall a créé un programme d'événements artistiques, proposant une activité de type "Drink and Draw", avec musique Live, mais également des discussions sur l'art et la littérature, des jeux de société de nuit et plus encore. Avec une capacité totale de 260 personnes, Capitol Cider est le plus grand bar à cidre indépendant des États-Unis.

My friend with celiac is visiting from out of town and this place was amazing. The food was so good, the menu options really varied and the service was outstanding.

Our meal was extraordinary. Everything was delicious. The server was attentive- there when we needed him. Would highly recommend this place to everyone. That is was gluten free was an added bonus- this food was amazing.

Hayden was our server and did a great job reading out the best options on the menu. We enjoyed the fun events they hosted downstairs. The food was good, I did not love the steak we ordered but the Lobster mac and cheese was delicious and the brussel sprouts were good minus the yogurt base, I am just not a huge fan of Yogurt. Overall great place to eat, its Gluten free menu which was perfect for us.

Delicious gluten free! Such a treat to have amazing bread, fish and chips, lobster Mac and cheese! Four very happy and well fed celiacs enjoyed every bite!

COPIED FROM MY YELP REVIEW Absolutely would recommend A Stir. Was so thrilled with Harper acquiescing requests like turning down/off the music and bringing us all a delicious honey and lemon in hot water after such a long day of yelling to be heard on the loudest expo floor ever and subsequent raspy voice. We also asked Harper about places to find local beers and he just needed a minute to confirm one he was thinking of while suggesting two others as well. Make this man a concierge LOL. Food was amazing (although my short rib and the flank steak a little salty for my low-sodium taste buds) but SO appreciated the 100% gluten-free kitchen for our celiac colleague who could eat EVERYTHING without worrying. Two of us got there early and ordered the meze plate to start. It was GREAT and actually *THRILLING* to discover that the toast and sea salt crackers were gluten-free. Loved that she could also have the lobster mac and cheese which is JUST what she'd been lamenting not being able to have ever again - but not the case now! Hopefully we make this a tradition when in Seattle. The deep fried cheese curds in apple sauce were *DIVINE*. We had hoped to go to Salt and Straw right afterward for dessert but the lineup was so long that we aborted that mission. But perhaps if A Stir could do a partnership to pair with some of your desserts for a dairy-free sorbet option to substitute for ice cream, that would have been awesome, and a great way to skip the lines from down the street to offer a more comfortable option and extend an already lovely time. (I'd really wanted the green apple wasabi sorbet!) My colleagues really loved their [various alcohol] flights. We could have stayed much longer!

A good selection of items, so far, in my opinion, well prepared and quite tasty. I tend to dine there early in the evening, before it gets too crowded, as the place gets very loud and unpleasantly difficult to converse with your tablemates; the acoustics of the room are not naturally amenable to many tables of lively conversation.

Amazing and delicious!! You must go here if you’re in Seattle. I wish we had a dedicated GF place half this good back at home in Milwaukee. Wow!

This was our second time dining at a stir in less than one week. The cocktails and beer were perfectly made, the food was delicious and the service was stellar. We very much appreciate the gluten free kitchen and highly recommend dining at this wonderful restaurant.
