A Salute is an Italian restaurant & full service cocktail bar located in an 1850 Church on Main Street in Matawan, NJ (Three minute walk from train station). The 170 year old building has kept its character and warmth to provide a comfortable setting for families and friends to enjoy a great lunch or dinner. Seasonal outdoor dining with a full service bar and oversized patio.

Live Music in our Bar Area every Thursday- Saturday Evening.

Lunch Available daily from 11:30-3:00pm. Happy Hour daily from 3:00pm-6:00pm featuring 1/2 off drinks and select appetizers. Dinner begins at 4:00pm.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Situated in an old church it’s very cute for all gathering whether it’s just dinner with a friend, family or a group going out for just drinks. The staff is extremely pleasant and the food is delicious, especially their homemade bread. The restaurant is clean and very cozy and rustic yet modern. I’d definitely eat there again.

The bread for the table was very very underbaked, staff seemed overwhelmed but remained friendly. Only one poor kid valeting cars on a busy Saturday night. All and all, very disappointing

We had a new server named Tim. He did a great job. The food was excellent. The service was very good and the atmosphere was very nice.

First time dining there, their ambience is very nice, we tried eating outside on the patio, as it was a beautiful night, but the chairs were extremely uncomfortable. The inside dining area is very pretty, and the service was great. We had 2 different chicken dinners, unfortunately both chickens were hard, not tender at all. Would definitely try again, as I think their pizza looks amazing!

The food was phenomenal!!! And the staff was so nice!!! 10 out of 10!! I will definitely be back!! Couldn’t say enough about how good it was!!

We had a nuce lunch with good service however the fig salad was not up to my expectations and my friends chicken caesar wrap also not so good

A great place for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is fantastic. I would highly recommend.

I guess my husband & I went on an off day We sat out side & the bar wasn’t opened because there were only 2 tables of people out there. We had their seafood salad & the clams were huge & tough. The chicken wings weren’t fresh & I had to return my chilian sea bass. Tasted fishy & half cooked.

The ambiance was great. We felt like we were away from NJ. The food was excellent. We loved the summer salad, the bolognaise, and chicken francese. We appreciated the fact that they had a gluten free option for the pasta.The cocktail list was great. So many to choose from: I loved the summer spritzer. Our server, Alyssa, was very attentive. To end the meal, the chocolate lava cake was delicious. They even came out to sing Happy Birthday. It was a fun place with a great vibe.
